Mine are Revotec's and I haven't had one problem with the lights physically themselves it was always a wiring/connector issue with the ground.

okay, did u slice into the ground wire that is connected to the headlight?.. which turns on the halos?

They won't replace just the one headlight. You have to send them back as a pair. At least, that is what I had to do. I figured a blown fuse has to deal with a loose power wire. A loose ground wire will just have the halos flicker, not turn on, or seem faulty; not a blown fuse.

Cool. So I figured out a fix for the dark spot problem I was having. Here is an example of what it looks like:

I messaged Sabersport and they said that Eagle Eye has made some revisions over the years so they have changed projectors, side LEDs (more white, less purple), and the ballast. Comparing to my old pair of headlights, I noticed that the mounting plate for the H1 bulbs are upside-down.

Notice how the indention is pointed south. When you put a HID bulb in, the smaller rod (blue part on my bulb in the picture) causes the dark spot in the reflection. How do we fix this? Simple. Unscrew the mounting plate and turn it upside down. This lets the small rod to be in the opposite orientation.

            Mounting plate.

I just thought I would share this in case anyone has this problem.

it happens to mine as-well from time to time. it's sort of normal with the Revotec's. I just take it out and put it in the sun with the two back screw removed. 30 minutes later its gone. I've also used that 2 minute epoxy on the top, I smeared a thick layer on the rubber assembly on the top part of the lights and it hasn't happened to my right side where i apply the epoxy. Ironically it just happened today on my passenger side. Figures it was the side I didn't do the epoxy yet....

That happened to mine once. I pulled the headlight and opened up the back. set the headlight in the sun and let
the condensation evaporate out. i then checked the seal. Ended up putting a silicone bead around a small portion of the seal
beside the bracket that bolts it to the support. It looked like the weight or stress had pulled it slightly apart there.

                    Anyways....that fixed it.

The water was kinda my fault. I was washing the car and sprayed the water under pressure right at the headlight seal area.

no need to use epoxy silicone ETC to seal the headlights, all you need is a head gune, heat the seals til its soft and push the 2 headlight parts together to reseal it......no problems from mine........

Thought I would post here since I made a separate thread which I guess I should not have done. I have been having problems with water getting into the headlight side of the harness where it connects to the factory harness which is blowing my inverter and getting water inside that socket causing corrosion. From the searches I did it looks like a fairly common problem. The power and ground have a few wires shoved into the socks for the various components and there is a large space in there for water to get through. I tried die electric grease and electrical tape but found that bunching the wires together on the headlight side of the harness cause many weird shorting issues such as the turn signal making the halos and high beam flash and sometimes the low beams would not turn on at all.

After much research and talking with the electrical pro at ElwirePros.com (Darrel is awesome btw) I decided on liquid electrical tape. It is die electric and creates a water tight seal without having to bunch the wiring together and causing them to short themselves out due to the apparent crappy shielding on the wires. I also slathered this stuff onto the seals since it looks pretty good when it dries just to reinforce the clear sealant I had already used and had started to peel from taking the lights in and out so many times. I feel confident in the fix enough to post here about it in hopes that it helps someone else with a similar water issue. I am crossing my fingers that it is fixed short free. I will post back if I have any further problems.

I've found a solution that works for me, I wrap my harness connector in electric tap and then dip the connector area in hot bee's wax that seal the entire unit and makes it even more water tight. in the event I need to replace it at a later date i can just peel off the wax and tape.

I also had to replace my harness once before because the pull for the headlight are just too much sometimes on the working wire, the ground, I have run higher gauge wires from both side of my car that are grounded directly to the frame. Each side of my DDM tuning relays are on there own power wire (green) directly from the batter on a custom 30 amp fuse. (a bit overkill)

Since I've increased the gauge of the ground wire to 3 mm gauge copper wire (we use it in the plant to wire outlets with its rated for 220) The grounding issue has disappear. I recently had to redo it just because the plastic relay got water in it and blow the coil but since then I've now taped my relays and connector up really good and then dropped them in a bowl of wax for a second to seal them up really good, so far so good.

Basically the problem with the Revotec + the DDM tuning all on the stock power harness it puts way too much strain on the tiny 1 cm ground wire and causes corrosion, once the corrosion get inside the harness connector is compromises the seal and water just sneaks inside.....

                          I hope this helps you!

The main problem I found is putting the wires to close together (to tape them up) causes them to short. Like I said above with halos flashing or low beams not turning on. I wanted to be able to tape them and then find a solution to seal that but have to keep the wires separated so they do not short. Or is this a grounding problem similar to what you are referring? I move the wires and separate them and it seems to fix the problem. Will this just be temporary too then if its from ground issues? Anyway, I chose liquid electrical tape because I can force the wires apart and throw the tape on and as it dries holds in the position that I want.
