On this version of the P05 controller (lx9) yes. It's INCREDIBLY time consuming to make a change, compile, reload, test and repeat.

Well if you have an lx9 it's me or no tune since no tuning software exists for that PCM so uhhh when should I expect you? LOL

if they can do it.. please let some of us know. up to this point, chris is the only one (besides vector, and i think they quit) that can tune the 3.5L LX9. Don't let them charge you if they can't.

so if I get a cat back I don't need a retune, but if I were to go catless itd be good to get a retune?

I will be getting dyno tuned from a place near me and 1900 to 2500 is ridiculous and a monkey could tune my car for cheaper. This shop guarantees it could be done at 800 to 1000 if its built.

You do realize that as of right now I am the only person to ever tune the 05 06 LX9 right? Aka there aren't any monkeys but thanks for running your mouth lol Lots of shops say that until they realize they have no software and you're back in the same position others have been in over and over again as 99.9% of shops dont have in house software engineers. For the record 800 to 1000 is ridiculous if they think they have software support lol

Heres the scenario (unless something huge changes that hasn't happened in 7-8 years)

                            1. You'll get an honest shop who will say they screwed up and cant do it (I've seen this a few times)
                            2. You'll get a dishonest shop that will say they can do it fake the dyno numbers and you'll have a stock tune (I've seen this a few times as well)
                            3. You'll get a semi-honest shop that will order a tune from me install it and charge the everliving crap out of you (I've seen this once).

So what shop is it I'm curious? Wisconsin isn't exactly a hotbed of GM tuning/engineering LOL

I was a programmer in my past life.... I should get into tunes.... LOL

But there is one place in CT that has offered to installed my custom headers and do a 93 tune on my G6. They come highly recommended from my car club buddies in Dutchess County (me and my friend started a car club about 6 months ago, we got 45 active members) - I've also offered them 1500 (they asked for 1600) to do a custom turbo to my G6 and they said that it's totally possible, they will have fabricate it, but I'm willing to see if they can do it. (they said they would get back to me once they do some research on material costs)

They have 3 in-house PCM/TCM Engineers in-house, all this company does is modify sports cars.

Tuners are not the same as software engineers, almost all speed shops have tuners I only know of like two that have actual software engineers in house So far that place looks like all imports? Some sweet GTR's on there though!!!
