      Re: 3.5L headers

if I get these headers and do not run a cat will I loose to much backpressure resulting in loosing torque?
can I just run these headers straight back to a couple of magnaflows or would I have to put some sort of cat in there, if so whats a nice non muffling cat?
I know how to put together an exhaust im just not very smart when it comes to this backpressure at low rpms and open at higher. I get the concept I just don't know what to put together to help both.

I missed where you posted the before and after dyno? Because my guess is with the lack of cats and lack of tune to compensate for the skewed A/F you probably lost some low end.

yea i was kindof skeptical about no cats with everything ive read about loosing back pressure in result loosing low end torque.

Kind of hard to get a tune when nobody will do a custom one

To fix your AFR if the headers throw it off

Youll do custom ones? I was kinda always under the impression you just did the canned ones?

99% of the work I do is custom the issue lies with people wont pay for it. My rate is $125 an hour and to do a custom cal on a P05 controller would probably take 15-20 hours just due to the way I have to do it and the dyno pulls etc.
