This thing works reallly well, but now I can't get it to switch back to XM.
Any ideas?
Same here. I think in order to get your XM to work, you need to hook up the black relay they give you. Unfortunately, they don't give very good info on how to hook it up.
Yes, by pressing "6" you can switch back and forth between XM & Ipod. But all of a sudden it doesn't work anymore. I'm stuck on Ipod and can't get back to XM. Tried discontecting the Ipod and disconnecting the negative on the battery. Still not right.
Can someone please tell me what specific wires need to be attached to the black relay for a stock stereo with XM? The directions they give are incredibly vague.
The YELLOW wire coming off of the black relay gets spliced to the RED wire coming out of the XM tuner unit. The BLUE wire coming off of the black relay gets spliced to the other half of the RED wire, which runs into the car. The Ipod connection just kind of acts as a splice in the middle of the RED power wire. Hope this helps you.
After having it installed at a GM dealership, I paid $90 and it didn't work. The I pod would charge but not be recognized by the radio.
I finally took it back to another GM dealer and they said it was simply that the T tap to the radio wasn't spliced through the wire enough. All they did was tighten it a little and now it works. So if anybody has the same problem, there's your fix.
It works and sounds GREAT, the only problem is the sun roof is still leaking and now I think the cars going thanks to the Lemon law.

Mine has NEVER worked with the "6" button. Only way I can switch between XM/iPod is cycle through the bands: FM1 > FM2 > AM > XM1 > XM2 > FM1 > FM2 > AM > iPod > iPod > FM1 > etc...
Annoying as hell and I'm going to just rip the damn thing out as soon as I have a day off...I'm done with it. Has never worked right since day 1. Going to hold out for the GM interface...

Wow, you're much more patient than I was. I had it connected for about an hour before ripping it back out.
