Some people order, first 30 units defective, send the fuckers back, get a new one

Here are the answers to those questions. Yes. No. Easy. Band. Yes. Yes. Fine. Sounds good, better then FM Mod. Hid it in the glove box.

            • I have a 60 gig and it works mostly fine.

If ipod isn't showing up as an option, chances are the green wire you splice into the main radio harness isn't connected properly.

                • Even with the few small issues its still the best option around. If you dont want to go to an aftermarket deck that is.

The only issue I have is occasionally the ipod text doesn't appear correctly on the radio display. Everything still plays and controls fine. I usually have it on shuffle anyway, so it's not too big a deal. And even this corrects itself, if you unplug the iPod for a few minutes.

And the sound quality is miles ahead of an FM transmitter.

                    • I've tried 2 different i pods and still the same. It's charging the I pod but not recognizing it in the radio (no I POD option is showing up when pressing the BAND button.) I'm taking it back down hopefully to be diagnosed again tommorow. I might just say fuck it and wait 2 weeks when I drive back home and rip it apart myself.

I figured it's a bad connection or somethings faulty with the green wire too. Damn this is going to be costly if it doesn't work.

                          • I did have a defective unit. I sent it back and got a new one.

The defective one didn't work at all.

                            • I have the xm direct kit that uses the same axxess interface unit. The problem I had was sometimes I would be listening to music and all of a sudden the bass would go out or a speaker. And it was just happening on xm stations for me. It turned out the problem i had was the piece of crap cheap design of the connector they decided to use (the connector that goes to the interface module). Sometimes the metal would not make contact with eachother when it was connected. My quick fix was the put a little piece of uncoated wire into each hollow wire clamp. Since then no problems whatsoever. Perhaps this is too the cause of some of you guys problems.
