  • I just got mine in yesterday and am going to have it installed at Cicuit City. I can't figure out where to have them run the wires to thou. I want to beable to have the axxes unit and my ipod in my glovebox but looking at the glove box can't figure out hor to do it. Has anyone else put this in there glove box and if so how did you set it up? If that's not possible are you still able to get to the axxes box (aux) with the Ipod cable running to the center box.

    • I have the white box mounted behind the head unit. The cable that connects to the ipod is pretty long, so I ran it down the edge of the centre tunnel and into the centre console. I cut a hole in the top, rear, driver side corner of the console. Pull the cupholders off the back of the console, remove the four screws holding the console lid, and you should be able to pull the back of the centre console off.

      • Got it installed had CC run it to my center console. Everything works good but... The volume is out of sync, 6-8 turns on the stereo is LOUD, and what's with my Ipods volume turned all the way down. Also when they installed it my XM was reset, now it is telling me "XM LOCKED". Does anyone know why it's doing this and will a call to XM fix it?

How much did Circuit City charge you for the install? I attempted to install it myself, but all the bolts on this "American car" are freakin' metric and unfortunately all the socket sets I have are standard. I'm thinking that it would probably cost me the same amount to just have CC install it compared to buying a metric socket set and doing it myself.

            that happened to me too.

disconnect the battery for about 5 minutes, then reconnect. XM should come back.

            • cool, I'll try the battery tomorrow.

CC cost 80$, a lot but worth it since I have bad luck doing interior work and usually end up cracking panels.

              • INSTALLED-With DIC problems

Hi everyone, I have completed the installation into my 2005 G6 GT of the Ipod integration kit today from Integration Solutions.

The sound is incredible however I have the same problem that many of you stated here with the information Artist/Name/Album etc. not showing in the DIC. I get C1 when the display button is pushed or C2.

Bryan from IS responded within minutes with the following:

We have heard of this happening and have been able to solve it by unistalling the unit and thendisconnecting the nagative battery terminal on your car, leave it off and dont do anything for about 10 min., after waiting reconnect the interface, then reconnect the negative battery terminal then start the car and see what happens.

Anyone else had to do this or something similar. Please reply with your solutions and similar problems please. Thanks, Tony

                • I haven't tried that. The problem is intermittent though - it will happen, and if you unplug your iPod for a few minutes and then plug it back in it goes away. Or sometimes if you leave it plugged in, turn off your car and then start your car a few minutes later it will work again.

Might have to try that to see if it fixes it permanently.

                  • Day 2

Well, In my car this morning, started it up, plugged my 80GB Ipod in and this time the DIC read "No Ipod" all though I still had the audio. Drove to the gas station, shut the car off, pumped my gas at $2.69 a gallon, paid and started my G6 (this time with the ipod already on and playing" and whamoo I got finally saw my first artist and song title show up on the DIC. The next 2 times I started the car during the day I made sure I had the Ipod on and plugged in before I started the car and I still had the info displaying on the DIC. I'm not jumping to any conclusions but I'm wondering if this is the procedure that needs to take place so the Radio recognizes the Ipods interface and to work properly? Now if I can figure out how to get to specific playlists and artists etc... I'd be happy. Anyone know how to do that??

                    • Yeah I've had the "No ipod" error too, but only once or twice. Not sure if the "turn on car while ipod is plugged in and playing" will work or not - I think I may have tried that before but don't remember.

                      To access the menus:

Press 4. This activates the browse.

Use 1 and 2 to scroll through the first menu (Playlist, Artist, etc.) Press 3 for "Enter"

Then use 1 and 2 to scroll through until you find the playlist, artist, or album you want and press 3 again.

To revert back to playing all songs, press 4, then 3 twice.

Press 5 to activate the shuffle mode.

If you're in a menu, press 4 to cancel out.

                      • Much Volume

Why is it the Ipod is so much louder than the radio/CD? I'm not complaining it sounds awesome and I like having the extra volume room except I'm afraid I may blow my speakers before to long! I'm guessing the Ipod has a sensitive output for headphones etc... but man, it's like night and day with the Ipod compared to the CD player. I was using a RF Modulator before this and that sounded like crap and that cost me $100 so thats going back to the store.

                        • I actually haven't noticed the iPod being any louder than radio or CD....

                            • Brown just delivered mine. I haven't torn into it yet, but where do you run the two RCA plugs? Are there connections on the back of the head unit? Should put in in tomorrow.
