I was recently in a front end collision. I damaged the bumper cover and the absorber.
considering my options I went with what was cost effective for me at the time. That's a whole different thread.
Anyway a few guys on here recommended I buy a prepainted cover from E-bay.
I bought this... http://www.ebay.com/itm/300692478967...84.m1497.l2648
I sent them my color code and Vin number. They painted it and shipped it ASAP.
I received the parts in a little over a week, not bad considering they had to paint it.

It was packaged in bubble wrap and a plastic bag then wrapped in cardboard and cellophane.

I did a paint inspection. I found that there was a run inside where the lower grille goes. But you'll never see that. I also noticed that there are a few small dust particles in the paint. but nothing bad.

Tools Used:
Flat Head Screw Driver (Grilles and Badge, Fog Lights, Various plastic clips)
Philips Head Screw Driver(License Plate and Bracket)
Masking Tape (to not damage paint)
Leather-Man or multi-tool with a sharp blade. (to cut adhesive on lower grilles)
3/8 drive ratchet
3/8 Drive deep 10mm Socket (Bumper Cover Bolts)
1/4 drive ratchet
1/4 Drive 7mm Socket (Bumper Screws)
7in Knipex Pliers (Christmas Tree clips)
2 cups of Coffee (can substitute several beers if after noon)
How To's used.

Bumper Cover -http://www.g6performance.com/forum/s...ead.php?t=9787
It's actually really easy.
It took me about two hours including clean up and pictures.
Off with the old. I used the How To's on this site to remove the upper and lower grilles, along with the bumper cover and absorber.

While installing the replacement cover I elongated this mounting hole so that the cover would line up equally with the headlights on each side. I also bought a package of 15 of those PITA Christmas tree button fasteners for 5 bucks at auto zone.

The original cover was pushed out a little in front of the right headlight corner. Now the replacement fits better than the factory one. I am a happy camper.

Here she is looking as sexy as ever Minus my finger prints.

So I lost my license plate mounting holes, and I have no intention of drilling new ones. I think it looks awesomely clean with out it. I'll just throw it in the window for now.
All in all I am very happy since my deductible was 500.00 and the insurance quote was around 950.00 I managed to get it done for around 350.00 I think.
I still need to sand and repaint my upper surrounds and tweak with one of the grille inserts since they were also damaged in the accident.
Thanks everyone for all your help with decisions and getting parts at a reasonable cost. I don''t think I would have been able to do this with out all the great information, and very helpful people on this forum. I foresee a well deserved contribution to the site coming soon.
All in all I would highly recommend that any one looking for a bumper replacement at a reasonable cost with out going through a paint guy to finish it contact the E-bay seller and purchase this product.
I have herd from other people that have bought from this seller that there may be more substantial paint imperfections or runs. However, they were compensated by a partial refund.
