Prepping my grill surrounds for paint


Sand, Primmer, Wet Sand Primmer, Wet Sand, Color, Wet Sand, Color, Wet Sand, Color, Clear coat, Clear coat.




Installed






I ripped out that crappy plastic air box and mocked up a heat shield.


I managed to track down the parts needed to put together a half way convincing CAI.


Once I was happy with the fit. I used the Bud Light template to fab up the real deal.
It's been on the car for almost a year I think with no problems. After looking at it I can see that I should have had one more bend in there.


I got sick of peaking around the steering wheel to spot the fog light switch so I flipped the assembly over.











most recently was the installation of courtesy/puddle lights, witch I am very happy with.

Right on dude. I like your take on the heat shield. But you should have went with a Newcastle heat shield.

well thanks man. During fab I actually anticipated having to do this a few times to get it right. This was my first attempt, I may still redo it. I would like to buy the Crabs Front pipe to finish it off. Or, try to make something out of off the shelf parts. If make something, I for see mounting being the biggest issue.

Nope. They are already on the mirrors you just pop them off. I sanded mine smooth because they have that black plastic texture to the.

I was able to use this as a guide to find the clips. then I just moved the mirror glass around so I could get to them without popping the glass off. I think I used a flat head and a flashlight.

Coming along nicely sir. May I recommend updating the rims? I switch mine to the gtp rims but in your case I think some spacers an solstice wheels would make it look sweet.

Man, I am totally with you. It's on my list. I'm going to get the life out of these tires and save up for some rims. I love the look of the Solstice five spoke brushed aluminum wheels. I just gotta find a good deal on them. Honestly I would be happy with anything over the stock 16 in.

Oh... I just checked your progression, and you have the rims I'm talking about. are those the G6 or Solstice rims. Or are they the same? your car looks awesome.

Finally got a good picture of my entry lights. They are wired into the dome light circuitry so they come on when I push the lock or unlock on the key fob. They also come on when you open the door and go off when you put the car in gear.

I'm thinking of cutting the LED strip in half and extending half of it to the rear doors.
