What is the GM "offical: 0-60 mph on the G6 3.6L anyway? I know the 3900 is 6.6 sec

I can't find a GM-approved number for the life of me. Most review sources say 6.2 seconds. Road & Track clocked the Aura XR (same engine, weight, gear ratios, everything) at 5.9 seconds.

its not performance orientated if you don't touch the engine, i don't care if suspension and some painting is done better, if you don't touch the engine it can't become your "performance" line at least give it a small v-8 or a turbo/supercharger, a performance car without 300 hp is weak. An 07 gtp is the same as an 08 gxp without the ugly grilles. come on gm that is just weak

apparently, any form of a sport car, which the gt/gtp is should include a manual and auto transmission, unless gm somehow got that dsg transmission from vw 'cause that transmission is the shit

The MH2 is a pretty damn good shifting transmission for a torque converter based manumatic, but yea I agree that they should've designed a new FWD manual to replace the F40 and bolted it up to the 3.6L engine.

A GM-developed DCT would be the SHIT!

hell yeah that 9 ms upshifting, let any manual transmission try to even touch that, dct is definitely the future, the gxp does have an updated transmission doesn't it?

Nope, same exact 6-speed automatic. The powertrain is untouched between the 07 GTP and 08 GXP.

Nope, same exact 6-speed automatic. The powertrain is untouched between the 07 GTP and 08 GXP.

yet they call it a performance brand, just a small turbo to bump it up to 300hp would be fine, or add an updated intake and exhaust to make it at least 280 hp, there's just something about the 300hp mark that is expected from a "performance-orientated" car, that also doesn't even have a manual transmission
