  • Re: Eagle Eyes Dual CCFL Halo Projector Headlights

I noticed yesterday that my passenger side CCFL's are no longer working. I'm fairly certain its the inverter (i haven't put the newer, better inverter on it yet) but this is also the light that got water in it. I'm reeeally hoping its just the inverter and nothing is wrong with the actual CCFLs themselves. The drivers side ones are still going strong after I swapped that inverter. Fingers are crossed.

You getting HID's? - they look amazing with HID's, the wise-panning light is even more bright. I highly recommend them.

sorry guys i prefer the spider to the eagle eye. i like even symmetry or a inward decline rather than an outward incline...its just not appealing to me.

Not starting a fight, but the EE are a far superior product as of quality. The spider halo's are dull, and the low beam barely illuminates the road. The projectors on the EE are by far better than the HIGH and LOW beam together on the spider.

Yup. My passenger side one leaked. I took it off and swished the water inside around until it started coming out. (don't get it in the projector socket..) Once I got as much water as I could get out that way, i took an air hose and blew air into the vents in the back. once all the water and haze was gone, I used a clear silicone epoxy and smothered the area where the leak was. While it was drying I put a packet of silica inside the housing and let it dry overnight.

When the air around the light is humid, it still tends to fog up. The fog doesn't last very long though and once it clears up it stays cleared up.

If they are still under warranty and you are willing to live with the stock lights for a little while, I'd contact the seller and send them in for a replacement.
