    okay. dealership sent history report which is mother effin sparkling. i sent him pics and info on my car and he will be calling me tomorrow with my quote and i told him if he gave me the buyout on my loan i would buy his GTO hands down after a test drive and wouldn't haggle him a bit..

      Like everything I do, I go big or I go home. If its a matter of $, I'll save a little more and opt for the better thing than go cheap and kicking myself in the ass for not spending the extra whatever $1,000-$2,000 in this case to have something a little better.

          If its $1,000-$2,000.. save for another month or few months, and you have a year or two model year owner car with less owners as well.

          The 2004's you have shitty brakes too. Forgot about that, and more suspension issues than the 2005 and 2006 do. Forget about HP, adding that in to upgrade the brakes and get some pedders stuff, and you're well over the price difference. It's just not as good per $ than '05 and '06s.

          I'm telling Erik since he seems to have wanted a LS2 GTO DONT give in to get a '04 thats just plain cheaper and available to him. His preference as far as I know has been LS2 and hes just frustrated cause of dealer games.

          And Erik.. dont ever try and play games with dealers trading cars and stuff Just go to the dealer directly and deal it out. It gets to complicated and frustrating Guys have flown 1,000mi to go grab GTO's and stuff to skip dealer bullshit.

                    anyone running HID's in their goat?

                    I was reading on ls1 that the projectors actually make the light a little more blue then they normall would in a reflector housing like the 6. That being said, 6000k is actually blue as opposed to the G6 where I know mine were just pure white. I'm asking because I'm ordering a set but I don't know whether or not to go 8k or 6k 35watt..........I'd really like some blue but I don't want them to be dark blue like some of the cars out there.

                    I don't want to spend the extra for 55watt because the 35's are plenty bright.

                      I don't have any but I plan on getting 35 6ks by DDM tuning i think it's called. So far they seem to be the best option.

                        within a week of getting the goat ill have HID's in. i have 6ks from my G6 and GTO's have the same bulb sizes

                          i say get the 04 ls1 has bigger aftermarket than ls2 not drive by wire, but the 05-06 have bigger brakes and cv joints.... but still modded ls1 vs modded ls2= dead even race

                            Aftermarket is no where near an issue. Modded ls1 vs. modded ls2 with same driver = ls2 wins. Not that hard to grasp.

                              When the LS2 was first out you could say it was bigger. They are dead even for mods and stuff. Especially with all the mods from L92/LS3 and stuff you can throw into LS2's now. Sorta like LS1 guys take the LS6/LS2 intake manifold and stuff from later series.

                                im still digging 04 price mileage. as i said its not that big of a concern. easy to make 400 hp with it and thats about all ill need.
