    Re: How-To Install HID's

I dont think that the high beam and low beam are the same size lights
but if you dont mind cutting and splicing the kits you could make it work[/quote]

I know the lights wont be the same size . Basically I would buy the expesive kit with a H11 bulb for the lows and then pull the HID wireing completly off of my highs. Then reinstall the cheap ballast to the lows and the H11 bulb and then Install the expensive with the H9 High beams. It really is just a matter of the ballasts I think...

      Re: How-To Install HID's

HID kit that came with my projectors is "plug and play" but there were no adapters included just the pos/neg wires with flat copper ends, HTF do do this?

pics included for those who need them!

      thanks in advance.

        Re: How-To Install HID's

The possitive is what plugs into the h1 bulb and the negative is on the base. I got the flashtech ballasts in already, so all I gotta do is put the h1's in the projectors. Im gonna do that today since its real shitty out.

            Both of you!

Brian, so you are just gonna switch out the bulbs then? Be sure to take plenty of pics because I plan on doing the same thing when it comes to these head lights...

Im goin to do the install now.....Ill take pics of my experience. The only issue I see is the housing for the bulb isnt big enough. Atleast thats what I could see the first time I attempted it, but I never got too involved with it.

                      Re: How-To Install HID's

Well I got the bulbs in quite easily accept I broke one bulb in the process. Thanks to unionracer, he sent me an extra bulb a couple weeks ago and I got both bulbs in. Now all I have to do is wiring. The poss. plugs into the poss. on the h/l harness, but the neg. is alittle tricky. You have to splice a new connector on the bulb harness and plug it into the post on the projector housing. Well Im off for round 2.

                        Re: How-To Install HID's

Scratch the wiring. I tried just for the hell of it pluging the poss and neg from the bulb to the poss and neg on the h/l harness and want do you know, it worked. No wiring need just a small slit in the bulb cover to run the two wires. Im probably gonna put some silicone on the small holes I make to keep moisture out.

Got the bulbs in and tried the lights and boy what a difference. Even though they are 6000k, they fill in the projector and gives off more light. I will finish after the ballgame and take pics of the light output and Ill post em up along with shots of behind the headlight during the install.

Alright, I got some pics. I wish the light beam was alittle higher, but its alot better than the regular h1's or the Nokya 7300k that I put it a few weeks ago but they failed my expectations.

Looks decently better, anyway to aim them higher?
