Hey guys,
So I've been doing a small project that has turned into abig project and I wanted to get your take on it.
So now that I'm a few weeks away from installed the MPD ram air hood with Lampoon's CAI box for direct induction air into the engine, I wanted to make use on the front bumpers spacing under the headlights for an ambitious plan:
8 inch intake system to blow cool air right onto the brembo brakes at speed to cool them off.
So I've been brainstorming. and I found a wheel well for a 2015 Camero that will fit out wheel well, now the problem I'm having or thought process that eludes me is how ot make the intake so I'm not spraying water when it rains right onto the brembo's.
I'm planning on using the bottom part of the bumper right next to the fog lights as an induction point, or I guess now that I got a ram air, I could pipe up a tubing system to use that hole where the stock CAI used to be and using the ram air system to force air into the hole and use it for now only the intake but for cooling the brembo's.
So my question for you guys, do you see this as a feasilbe and worthy project. We all get slotted and drilled rotors to cool the rotors, but why now the brakes and rotors with direct cool air?
