take a picture of the engine bay or the engine pic and kinda do a rough idea of what you think it should be like.

ok im getting really impatient about our non-forced induction status. should we wait for that guy SMP to make us a turbo kit, get a squires universal rear mount turbo kit? or continue to try to see how a centrifical sc kit would work?

I've been doing research and trying to visualize this project as best that I could...lol..its taken me a while to collect my thoughts.. What do you guys think about this?
I get what you're saying, and it's a good idea. I think you might have to re-rout some A/C lines at that point to make room.

good point. which one are you tihnking would be good to use to power the SC? that small one towards the front right next to the heads?(if youre looking at the engine pic on the previous page)

            Re: Turbo/ Super Charger info.

I'm thinking the accessory belt drive. which ever that might be..that way we don't have to use the crank and put more strain on it. The hardest thing along with the mounting bracket would be lowering the compression. Don't know if this is computer controlled or not..or if we would have to modify the heads..or the cylinders or what?

Edit: Okay I took some pictures of engine bay with the cover off..and I found potentially a place to mount the Paxton NOVI-1000 RR.

From this pic I've marked where the S/C could be mounted.. as well as a spot to put the pulley and belt...

Hopefully these could be of some use for someone down the road..

The A/C line next to the crank may need to be moved though..and of course we need to run oil lines..but its a step in the right direction i believe

so how will the paxton tap into the belt?? so is there a peoce you put o the pully and then a band goes from there to the sc?

That bracket is there for assembly purposes, so yeah, you could use it for whatever.

...unless you ever need to remove your engine, which would require you to take the supercharger off. That bracket is used for an engine hoist.

Heres the deal, or my current plans:

                    Supercharger

                    1. Relocate battery and fuse panel to trunk. Rip out sub. amps. etc for the time being.
                    2. Jasper or Lingenfelter upgrades for 4T65E
                    3. Inspection for CV/drive train. Replace anything suspect.
                    4. New vortech fuel pump for higher PSI, same injectors
                    5. Remove intake manifold, replace with pipe temporarily. Add dummy load for variable intake if needed.
                    6. Fabricate adaptor plate for supercharger and intercooler (if intercooler desired) to match 3.9 intake diameter
6.1 Install boost guage, tran temp guage, oil pres guage, fuel pres guage, EGT guage. (Dash hawk?)
6.2 Start car, verify all operations
                    7. Bolt on eaton M92 supercharger. Pully for 6-7 PSI at 6500 RPM.
                    8. Hook up factory PCM/MAF/throttle body. Start car, rev to 0-0.5 psi boost. Verify all engine function normal.*
                    9. Finalize piping, belts, etc.
                    10. Tune car for 6-8 psi with HP tuners. Involves timing and fuel injection, etc. ECM/TCM tune. Dyno too.
                    11. Rebuild trunk
                    12. Smoke an unsuspecting 350Z, skittle, evo and corvette

                    Turbo(s)
                    1-6.2 Same
                    7. Add 2x GT25 turbos, or 1x GT35 turbo (Turbonetics)
7.1 Chop headers, cats, etc as necessary
                    8. Add Greddy front mount intercooler
                    9. Shitloads of piping and welding
                    10. Add BOV and boost controller
                    11. Hook up as in step 8
                    12. Turn on and rev to 0 psi - 0.5 psi. Set BOV for 0 psi (?) Verify function*
                    13. Finalize connections, piping, shields, etc.
                    14. Tune car for 6-8 psi with HP tuners. As in step 10.
                    15. Rebuild trunk
                    16. Smoke unsuspecting WRX STi, ferrari 360, GTO and mustang.

                    * When car is at 0 psi boost, engine should be functioning as N/A, no need for retune, etc.

As you can see this is a very involved process, but it's not rocket science. The only real thing the tune has to do is make sure the A/F ratio is properly maintained at all phases of boost (-10 psi to +7 psi). The timing may be retarded a bit too if the car has a tendency to knock or backfire. A proper A/F ratio is 11:1. Also the 7 psi boost will not require any special heads, etc. 93 octane gas should be sufficient with a 9.8:1 compression ratio. Lexus IS300 (2JZ) boost fine at 7 psi and they have a 10.5:1 ratio. The G6 oil jet cooling should prove invaluable as well.
I personaly favor the supercharger, because its somewhat simpler and has a more controlled boost curve. Also it makes cooler sounds.
Hope this sheds some light on the issue.

I think that the twin turbo setup is a little bit more easier than the SC.
The only problem will be intercooling the charge. Unless you use a water intercooler, you will need a lot of piping snaking around the engine with complex curves.

Or use those rear setup turbo kit.

look how they have the setup for the scion tc. they have a long shaft going over to the pully and the SC is over by the TB.

wow, that set up actually looks like it's close enough to fit our car... and the idea would make it 10x easier to get it to work... with the intake out of the way, we would only need mounts and the correct length of crank rod for that to work, atleast i think... i dont know how exactly what else would need to be run over there but this looks good =) maybe run the intake into the grill area like...i dont remember his name right now, just recently did along with his side exhaust
