    Re: Custom Exhaust Options

The factory muffler is like a rectangle. So the pipe goes into the middle if the mufflers long side (mounted sideways) and then comes out the drivers side. So to run the vodka you would have to have some piping bent in a 180 degree with the inlet on the passenger side and outlet on drivers side. This is where a good shop to do it comes into play. You'll have to measure once you know where the muffler inlet pipe is going to be at (roughly).

So going by that size which would you recommend?

If you want a great quality custom exhaust, just to an exhaust shop and tell them you want a full custom exhaust using Vibrant Performance parts.

Vibrant performance has a great sound, with no raspiness!! Check it out, it will be worth it. Check out the 01Cav's exhaust video on YouTube, he had a vibrant exhaust on his g6. It will sound good

Well im not sure yet but i think i might go with this vibrant resonator and this Borla muffler and then go to a shop and having them weld it all on with some 2.5 inch mandrel bend pipes.

I'm not sure how the 3.5 will sound, but I deleted my cats, replaced the resonator with a 22" glass pack, and added a magnaflow muffler in place of the hefty oem one. It sounds great with no rasp to it.

              Re: Custom Exhaust Options

I had a y-pipe with two Borla ProXS mufflers. It was a sleeper very quiet. But it felt like too much flow for our smaller engines. I felt like I loss a lot of low end torque. I now have magnaflow glass pack resonator and magnaflow single in dual out muffler. This is the set up I would recommend nice sound not too ricey but good performance.

P.S. if you're set on Borla ProXS I have my mufflers (2x) that I can sell you. Good condition, I bought new, probably were on my car for 12 months/12k miles. They even still have the y-pipe attached which could save your shop some fab time and materials.
