Won't help you much considering it's FWD

ok im still wondering... I have the 07 GT coupe, and the other day a red supra and i were racing on I-94 and I hit 120 before i decided it was time to back off, i didnt feel like swerving traffic at 120 esp not knowing where my governor is at. (and on the REAL topic of this thread) I am still curious of anyone knowing the governor for my car, so i dont have to hit it. Cause if it is at like 125, i might actually want to change it, but if its higher, ill probably be fine with keeping it the same.

o and at 120, the GT coupe actually did not feel that floaty in comparison to other cars i have driven over 100 (Lincon LS and '04 GTO) Actually, it was quite steady.

Until you swerve. Then you're gone.

I have noticed though that the governors on individual cars seem to vary slightly, even on cars with the same tires.

The governer in my car is not a fuel shutoff or anything like that. It doesn't feel like hitting a wall. the car just stops accelerating. It will hold the governed speed forever, but not go over it.

I'm not sure if 130 is the governed speed for the GT or if it's the actual top speed.
I just got my 07 g6 gt with 3.9 tuned today, and i took it to 135 on the highway at 5500 rpms in 5th gear. The car was still pulling when i let off. I would assume that the car will actually go around 150 just because of power to weight and against the aerodynamics of the car. Itd be close to 150 because it was still pulling quite a bit. Also, my car didnt float compared to others ive ridden in the only thing i noticed was when i put on the brakes they were quite stiff. That is with the 6 speed tho and the 3.55 axle ratio, so i dont know what the automatics will do, but mine can do 135+ !!

i have an 06 GTP 4dr, with the 3.9 and 6spd manual, i hit the limiter at ~115 and was pretty bumbed. I think the G6s are pretty stable. Mine felt pretty planted at 115...but it wouldnt surprise me if the fact that it is lowered 2" had something to do with that.

Did you get the Vector tune? I am confused, some people have said the Vector tune doesnt get rid of the limiter, others (like yourself) clearly are not having an issue with going faster.

lowered isn't going to make it slower

I've hit 130 and still could have kept going in my 07 GT sedan...

130 in 3rd gear as well....

I got over 110, probably about 112 and stopped. I know I could have gotten up further though.

Vector raises it, but doesn't eliminate it entirely.

My vector tune did not change the governer at all. Still sitting at 185 km/hr.

Wow, I heard it raised it to something like 160MPH(whatever that is in KM).
