  • Headlight connector: Stock electrical harness connector

    Hello,

Have you guys ever tried looking for the stock G6 headlight connector? - I'm having such a hard time finding the power connector. - If anyone knows the part number that would be so helpful!

As you all know that have the EE Projectors, eventually the ground becomes corroded and well I'd like to replace my headlight wiring setup with thicker gauge wire and finding this power connector is just part of the puzzle. I'm able to find the female power connector that are on the EE projectors' it's just the male part that is hard to find, at-least for me.

      Hey Death,

Based off another members recommendation i got a set of these. I am having it professionally installed this time. I am going to have it soldiered with heat shrink then wrapped up properly. I am done playing with the halos. My HIDs are still working flawlessly off the DDM harness but I did not try and splice anything else into them just the HIDs. I figure this water tight harness should permanently fix the Halos and ballasts going out. I guess I will find out

Free Shipping - Allstar Performance Weatherpack Connectors with qualifying orders of $109. Shop Weatherproof Connectors at Summit Racing.

edit: forgot to mention that this is 6 pin so one of the pins will need to be sealed up but after inspecting them I have high hopes that this is a permanent fix. each pin has a plastic seal so it should be good.

edit2: here is the rock auto factory part that i bought but never installed. it does not require being put together just spliced in. i went the route i posted above though. Same price for both parts of higher quality in my opinion.

Ahhh Yes see I'm not the only one that love these EE Projectors with DDM tuning HIDS but hates the wiring involved! - Thanks for the heads up Eric, I'll give it a shot.

I just ordered another batch of DDM tuning HID set for fogs and lows plus 2 50ohm resisters for these switchback LED turn signals that I'm going to try now....

Ironically I'm going a separate route. My friend Albert, head electrical engineer at the plant, brainstormed a idea of place all of the electrical components in a water-tight box and mounting it to the wheel well area. Once everything arrives were going to fabricate the box and mounting brackets in our very well equipped and supplied, by fastenal, shop to make the whole setup impervious to water and the elements. He was the one that helped me for months to get the last set working with the wiring issues and were determined this time to resolve the issue.

bear in mind that the very high quality double-sealed relay's I purchased 3 months ago are still in the car and working with the stock headlights. I know it's a bit overkill for the stock lights but it works so I kept it in-place. I just got a feeling the headlight connection sucks and the DDM tuning harness connection blows. Were going to fix it right in 2 weeks.

Tomorrow I'm having him install a new fuel filter, and my new NGK spark plugs and these Taylor 8.2mm spark plug wires.

Bryant your a godsend! - how the heck did you find them! -- I'm going to order 4 of them, since these puppies are pretty heavily corroded, but this is awesome that I can wire them myself, be nice to see if I can use a high gauge wire in them. if not, I'll just use high gauge wire to a certain point and just connect these to them on the stock wiring gauge.

        Thanks a million again!

I have my ways haha, mainly I have a lot of part numbers/specs/info laying around from GM... The connector is a 5 way metri pack 150 series, you can find them around on other sites too, mouser electronics has all the delphi connectors used in our cars for a little cheaper, but you have to buy all the pins and such for the connector seperately from them. But the site I listed includes all the parts you need and for pretty cheap and they have the female ends too if you ever need them
