    Re: Dodge Charger Spoiler

It's your car do what you want, at the end of the day it's a family car made for daily driving, and I don't care if you waste your money.

Personal attacks aren't cool, that's for sure, so don't sit here and tell me about how much money you "think" I have, because you don't know who you're talking to, or what I make.

You are not contributing anything to this forum and you are way beyond stirring the pot with many respected and loyal members. I will be contacting an admin so I suggest you clean your act up. You have done nothing to provide further knowledge to this forum and have trolled spoiler threads. Have a nice night.

Regarding the claims made about the spoiler. There's many other variables that seem to be neglected.
By your logic if I srap a wing to my bicycle I should be able to corner it at much higher speeds...

Spacers that big are just gonna reduce the spring rate at your wheels, and have a huge increase in scrub radius

                Re: Dodge Charger Spoiler

The way you guys talk about my logic that I have from experience makes you look like you know nothing, probably because you have never had a spoiler that makes any difference. All I said was that I can go faster around turns than stock, and you guys have been attacking me ever since. There is too much for me to explain I don't have the time to argue with a bunch of stubborn, and proud haters that won't listen anyway. If you think I make excessive claims, you guys should look at yourselves talking about stuff that you have on your car that makes a huge difference. I plan on doing some of the mods that you guys talk about but saying my car shouldn't be modded because it is a "family car" goes against the whole idea of having car forums. My dads six-speed 600 hp 1996 impala ss, and my moms Cadillac cts-v are both family cars, but they are still very badazz cars. I have provided info that no one else could and you seriously want to say that I'm attacking you what a joke! It seems to me that anyone without a certain mod is completely against doing it. Trying to put me down for every little thing that I have. Wheel spacers do also make a noticeable difference. Many people have them or wider wheels, but oh if I have it its a sin. I know the advantages and disadvantages of things that I have but when people who don't know what they are talking about, who don't like what I do see that I have it, then it becomes something that is going to destroy the car."OH wheel spacers will make you scratch your wheels and make them fall off, Oh you have a lame six-speed, Oh your car isn't lowered, Oh that spoiler is actually making you car slow through the turns. Why don't you just get off my back for once and try something new that thousands of people haven't already done.

may i ask a simple question? what experience do you have? is it background in track racing, or is it neighborhood corner taking? b/c it sounds like your putting poker cards on a bicycle and calling it a harley... a G6 doesn't really compare to a impala ss nor a cts-v other than they have wheels, doors, and a motor.

                      Re: Dodge Charger Spoiler

The problem is that on these cars, a spoiler is an appearance mod.
                      Wheel spacers?
                      Appearance Mod.
                      Aftermarket wheels?
                      Appearance mod.
                      Vinyl decals?
                      Appearance mod.
                      Halo/HID headlights?
                      Appearance mod.
                      Lowering springs?
Mostly an appearance mod. May get some performance difference.

There is nothing wrong with putting a spoiler on your car, even if it is a massive park bench.
That is your preference and you do what you want to with your car. Be unique.

The reason everybody is busting your chops is because you are claiming that said park bench is doing things that in reality it isn't.

One other thing - Car forums aren't just for making high performance racing machines. Yes, this forum is named "G6 Performance". That doesn't mean everything in this forum is performance related. It doesn't have to be. Car forums are great resources to fix common problems we have with our cars. It is extremely likely that if you have something break on your car, someone else on this forum has already had it happen to them. Reason being is that these cars are mass produced. That means every car gets the good things, and the stuff that will eventually break on that particular model. Honestly, that is the whole reason I am here. I like to try and help people who have problems I have encountered, and I can't count how many times I have been saved by someone sharing a solution to a problem they had on a forum.

Bottom line... It's your car, do what you want! Don't let anybody on here slow you down. If you have plans for your car that people criticize, who gives a crap. ITS NOT THEIR CAR.

I also agree with Slog6 ^, car forums are for us car enthusiasts who love cars and love the car community. Yes we are "G6 Performance" but I don't see that many heavily modded 6ers, but we all love our cars!

Onebadazz may have come on a little strong to everyone. But let it go. If he feels he goes faster around turns, then okay, cool, no need to have a huge argument over it. We DO NOT need to run someone off of this forum for having a PERSONAL taste and opinion on what he wants to do with his car.

ONEBADAZZ: Do what you want. From one car enthusiasts to another, we love cars and are all creative with our ideas. Some people aren't willing to go through with the risk of making their car 'different from the norm'. Make a

                          Re: Dodge Charger Spoiler

BJ couldn't have said it any better, but I have something to say as well.

Is it a dumb idea to put a huge wing on a G6 as it stands? Yes. Will people laugh at the driver for the wing? Definitely, yes. Is the G6 in question badazz's car? Obviously yes. Let him do what he wants to it. What would you all feel if you showed off what you thought was a cool mod and basically got bullied for it? Pretty crappy I would imagine.

The reason why badazz is seeming like he's retaliating is because you guys are basically trying to force him into a corner and bully him into submission. It seems to me he's retaliating against that because he genuinely likes what he did to his car, so what do you guys expect him to say? I know, just as well as all of you do, that his natural instinct is to act like an e-thug and tough his way out of the situation he's in with seemingly threatening and forceful terms and phrases.

That said, would you all please back off a bit? Give the guy a little breathing space. Hell, what if he actually goes through with his plans and succeeds? Who's going be laughing then?

Heres one question. How many people do you have on a daily basis point and laugh at you or even try racing you when they see that spoiler.

No one does it because its rice. Its a laughimg stock of a mod to a car. There are certain things you just dont do to a car for specific reasons. Honestly how many people do you see put a spoiler like that on there car? Ever see mustangs or camaros with that? No. Ever see hondas with that? YES. Because 90% of the honda owners are pure ricers. They do pointless crap to cars that are more a point and laugh mod then it is a mod that actually does something. Do you even autocross your g6? If so, what was your rank in your class? What place did you come in? What cars were you up against?

Sure you like it, thats fine. Alot of people dont. You came in here talking highly of that 300$ bench basically saying its the best bang for your buck. When really, its not. There is alot more you can do for that kind of money that would help you better.

You are more into your turns. Most people here im sure they like the car to handle better but are more into the go fast down a straightaway. Cornering is okay. But it helps to do better in those corners with MORE POWER. You cant just lower the front end of a car, put a rediculously priced wing on your trunk and say it's the best car on the autox track.

                                Re: Dodge Charger Spoiler

I don't give two flips about the spoiler.. that part is to each their own. If he wants to put a masterpiece of carbon fiber and aluminum on the back of his car, thats his show and his to deal with.

What bothers me is the blatant lack of knowledge and the seemingly endless ignorance. Fine, he put a wing on his car, will it make it faster? no. Will better tires do FAR more than a big spoiler?.. yes! But the fact remains, he is very set in a belief that is unsupported by anything other than his butt dyno and butt skidpad. Theres no numbers, theres no logic, and theres no sense to his madness for it. He claims experience, but offers nothing to back it up. He says he goes faster at 40mph now around corners, maybe its b/c he never went that fast before. But what he is claiming happens to HIS car.. doesn't happen to cars that are orders of magnitude more expensive and have ACTUALLY been designed for it. Don't claim to be an engineer if you are just starting to study it.. so i've read a book about Mario Andretti, but that doesn't make me a racecar driver.. nor does reading a book about Kobe Bryant make me an NBA star. Stick to what you know, and let other who know what you don't teach you what you wanna hear.
