3.6 Beats Mustang GT, SVT, Legacy Turbo, Cobalt SS
Re: 3.6 Beats Mustang GT, SVT, Legacy Turbo, Cobalt SS
Sry to bring back a dead post but great kill's. I cant get my mind around how you got those Crap Ls2's to launch. The last time i went to rockingham dragway i had my stockers on and it killed my 1/4 mile time. I went from a 14.6 to a 15.2 it was even spinning in second gear with TC on. I havent try'ed turning of the stabilitrack yet dose it really make a difference? Way to rep the 3.6's

Thanks!! It took a lot of reading on technique and practice to get those things to launch. My fastest 60' was a 2.06 but I was averaging 2.2 - 2.3 pretty much the whole night. I'm buying a full set of GY Eagle GT's next week and up-sizing to 245's so that should help a lot. If I remember correct, I only had the stabilitrack off for the burnout / tire clean off but turned it back on for the run keeping the TC off. I can't remember. I'm trying to get back there next Friday, but it all depends on whether or not Vector can get the data logging program working on the PowerFlash so I can log my runs and then have them fine tune me off of real data. I'm not going racing until they get that working.

Re: 3.6 Beats Mustang GT, SVT, Legacy Turbo, Cobalt SS
this might be old but i did beat a a 01 svt cobra(atleast thats what the badge says) in the 1/8th mile just by .1002 of a second
all my times are bad to like had a 60' of 2.4155...1/8 9.8 at 73.65...humidity was like 88%...i live in a swamp lol
Went down to the local track last night. Damn it was humid, started the night running a very disappointing 14.5. As the night progressed, I worked it back down to 14.35. Not too bad knowing that I'm now running lean with a 14.55 A/F ration. Anyway, throughout the course of the night, I beat a Cobalt SS, 4th Gen. Mustang GT, 4th gen Mustang SVT, a 2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5L turbo (which is the same engine as the 05 STI ). I've got my reaction times down to between .12 and .21 pretty consistently now. My 60' are down to 2.06 on stock LS-2's. 30 psi and a very small burn out before the run. Zero track prep except for water box. Now to the videos:

All in all, a pretty decent night of take downs. Obviously, with better drivers, these races would have been a little closer, but I'll take ever win I can get, especially against V8's
DID ANYONE see any squat in his acceleration???? i sure didn't THOSE MUST be eibach springs lol

the car doesnt squat upon accelertion anyways it lifts up...........nothing to do with the springs it did it on my car stock, and still does it with the coilovers set to the hardest dampening possible
