I just put my STB on this week and taped where you guys said it was rubbing.

Yeah the pad it still there. You could say I left it there just in case. tomorrow im going to put short rubber stoppers in the 2 holes where the stb is rubbing at. Recieved the rubber stoppers today. here is a picture of the stopper im using. will have picture with them under the hood later.

Here it is STB and rubber stoppers in all 6 holes so there will be no rubbing.

Rubber stoppers
Are those rubber stoppers working for you guys who put them in? How did you attach them to the hood?
I was also wondering if anyone else would like to give an update on their rubbing countermeasures. I'd like to get this part, because I DO plan on taking it to the road course every once in a while, and I bet it's noticeable there."Drive fast, take chances" -Danica PatrickComment

Over 1,000 miles since I installed the STB with no signs of any rubbing. I can't say for sure if it's the difference with the MPD hood or the "mod" I did -- or both.
