Remote Start Not Working

A couple months ago my remote start randomly stopped working. When I try to remote start my car headlights flash once. I had to purchase a new car battery the other day so I did that and the remote start still doesn't work. The battery in my key fob should be fine because everything else on the fob works great. Since my car lights flashes once it seems as though the car is recognizing my key but just won't start.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so what should I do?

I've seen in previous posts that the problem could be the hood latch sensor isn't working. If so then would I need to go to a GM dealer to get that fixed? My engine light is not on by the way.

I had the same issue but I did have my check engine light on (thermostat) which comes on and goes off whenever. If possible check to see if there is a trouble code anyway. I don't the latch is difficult to replace (have not done it only hearsay) Keep us posted.

I had the coding checked and everything looked good. Also, went to see if the battery in the key is okay and that is completely fine. I think it may have to do with something in the car. I will have to have a GM dealership take a look at it.
