  • MONSOON Radio Problems

Lost the readout on the radio screen last night.

    No lights/info at all.

The screen has a backlight but no wording of radio info or car info.

    It's a 2007 with only 18,000 miles.

Does anyone know if this can be fixed and for about how much??

I would say you could try changing the face out. Find the same radio for cheap and swap the face.

After turning the car off and on, does it come back? Do you still have sound and all other functionality, just no wording?

I think it could be a fuse? I had the same issue and the radio was dark. the passenger foot well where you can remove the cover by their feet on the right. behind there is the BCM and there is a fuse for the radio there. Try this.

Yes, have sound and radio/CD function, just no wording on the faceplate screen.

Passenger side footwell fuse? I'll check into that Thanks.

When I hooked up my new optima yellow top 2 months ago, I put the negative and positive on backwards by accident and this blew both fuses in the front and trunk fuse blocks. So I just figured you did the same somehow. Glad it was just the fuses.

                      It was the fuses right?

                        Re: MONSOON Radio Problems

Mine does that on rare occasions. I just push the power button on the radio a couple times and it comes on.

At least no fuses were popped. That Is good though.
