Ok, so here goes.
I have a 2009 G6 GT which has run with no problems.
One night I was pulling out backwards out of someones inclined driveway. Well, all of a sudden the electrical system went out and the car just died (in reverse) and we rolled downhill for a bit. Luckily using the E-Brake stopped me. I put the car in park and it started up as if nothing happened.
At first I thought it was a fluke
Then at random times and ONLY when the G6 was put into reverse would the electrical system sputter (I can hear the back speakers make a high-pitched sound for a second) and the car would stall out and just stop.
Id wait a few seconds and the electrical system would come back up and Im able to start the car again.
Again, its a random thing and ONLY in reverse.
So does anyone think its something tied to the auto trans when i shift it into Reverse or an isolated electrical problem ?
Ive only made 2 additions to the G6 with include HIDs and a new amp. But Id figure those would not be the problem as the first time the car died (on the driveway) it was totally stock.
I also had it serviced for a past recall in 2010 for a shifter problem (Lever and linkage column).
Its at the shop now, and the guys there (GM Place) are unaware of the second recall that was just issued on Sept 18th, 2012 for another Auto Trans shifter problem.
Any help would be appreciated
