So today i drove my 6 to university as usual. Parked it and started walking to class. I looked back at my car for what ever reason and noticed the 3rd brake light hadn't turned off. I figured it would just go out eventually and i didnt have time to deal with it. However when i returned to go home 4.5 hours later, the 3rd brake light was still on. I drove it home, put it in the garage and the brake light was off. Anyone else have this problem? or have any suggestions as to why it may be happening im going to have to see it reoccurs at all as this was the first day it happened.

When you are driving, are the brake lights on when you are not on the brakes, and off when you are?

hmmm... i dont know. its hard to see them when im driving
ill have to wait till someones home to check for me. you think that could be the problem?

If you apply the brakes with the car off, the brake lights stay on. They are not ignition controlled.
If the BPPS is not calibrated right, and it thinks the pedal is down even if it isn't, the lights will stay on.2009 PONTIAC G8
