  • After Market Camber Kit

So I bought my 05 GT 4 DR about a year and three months ago and at the time it had brand new Goodyear Eagles on it but I just had them all replaced cause it chewed them off BAD. Shortly after I bought it I suspected it was in a minor fender bender because I could c where it was painted on the passenger back door and one of the rims looked brand new. I put new boots on it last Saturday and today had 3 weels aligned but the 4th ( back passenger ) couldn't be done cause whatever they turn to adjust the camber is maxed out so I'm wondering if there's a camber kit to extend what it is they need. The mechanic told me they do make them he just can't find one for mine. I figured that since alot of u guys lower your rides that's gotta throw out the camber pretty good so of that's the case what do u's do to correct it cause I need this fixed but don't know where to look for such a thing and yes it was horribly out of alignment, all fixed but one tire.

The ones posted above are for the fronts ONLY... there is no adjustment to the rears... WITHOUT modding yourself or having an alignment shop "mod" the rears like Dar did... I believe The Stig did this as well...

Yep. There's no kit for the back. I paid the dealership about $100 for a "custom" alignment. The tech used a grinder to oblong the holes for the camber adjustment.

Weird because I saw them with a wrench turning something on the back I just don't know what it was. They told me all 4 were horribly outta wack and said they fixed the three fixable tires and there is a huge differance in ride quality and road noise which was mostly comming from the rear not that I'm questioning anybody cause I'm certainly not doing that.

This is why.... lower it and ask them to adjust the rear camber...

What thestig mentioned makes sense.... oblong where the bolt goes = room for adjustment.... You can prolly do this yourself and just have an allignment place adjust everything...

That is IF you ever decided to lower it. I need to do this soon... I just been lazy!

                  Re: After Market Camber Kit

Ha ha, noooo I don't plan on lowering it, I've put about 40,000 km's on it since I bought it in march of 2009 because of the distance to work and home everyday and my wifes car ( red 03 GA GT ) has only 90,000 on it so we don't use it much, she wants to keep it forever cause it's like brand new so mine isn't really a keeper but I do try and look after it. I was just thinking there was an easy fix for it but if not then I'll leave it and replace that stupid mother f@&$in steering shaft cause it's driving me retarded, let's hope givin it the shaft for the 3rd time fixes it.

                      Good find

BUT...there are a few flags with that...
-It lists it only working with the 08+ G6, and AFAIK the suspension didnt change for the entire run of the vehicle
-When I spoke with Eibach a few months back they said they did not make a rear camber kit
-There is no rear camber kit listed on Eibach's website so wouldnt be a new product since I spoke to them
