Wiper blades

Has anyone found after market wiper blades for a G6 GT coupe? Mine need to be replaced. Thanks!

What do you mean aftermarket? Any place that sells auto parts will be able to provide you with replacement wiperblades...

I dont want to go thru the dealer and I have checked a couple of the auto stores , both auto zone and CAP at their on-line stores and with Bosch automotive on-line and I have not been able to find a part number.

Yea the wipers on the G6 are special and I'm pretty sure you can only get them through the dealership right now. check this: TradeMotion Link

I just did a simple Google search and found that Trico website seems to carry something.

Not that I have bought one and tried it out though

I don't know what's going on in the US, but here in Canada we can get these "special" wipers just about anywhere... Canadiantire even carries them, they're called "Reflex".

Stopped at Autozone tonight and the equivalant blade is the Bosch Icon, however the clip is like a standard clip which does not fit on the G6 arm. Sadly, looks like off to the dealer I go. Thank you for the post, as it is apprecaited

Yeah the way they mount causes some issues, the reflex from cdntire blades don't fit either. At least not the pair I looked at.

On the blades, atleast mine that came with the car, it looks like theres a blade on the top like theres a spare set with the blade...... is that an accaul spare blade on it?

No that's just to help the blade keep good contact at highway speeds.

^So was I! That's a good idea, cuz I know in my old car, I couldn't drive on the highway during rain cuz they wouldn't barely touch the windshield

wouldn't the force push the wipers into the windshield anyway if you're going fast?

Nope.. the wind brings them right up

hm. interesting. My friend's '05 RSX's wipers don't have that blade, and they work better than the G6's on the highways when it's pouring out.
