You know I was thinking about dry counties earlier. What's the point of a dry county when you can by alcohol at a bar or restaurant? So you can drink there and binge if needed and then drive home drunk, rather than get drunk at home? Seems to me like it's a half-baked idea.
Smith County is actually a "moist county" because they allow "members" to serve alcohol in their places of business. You just can't buy it and take it away. A "dry county" has zero alcohol tolerance. But it doesn't matter, I just take 31 to Kilgore and literally on the county line is a nice liquor store.

        Re: Texas 6er's!

gmofhouston has meets wen and fri nights!!!

WEN NIGHTS (10:30-whenever) they meet on the SW side of houston in the Conn's parking lot (by taco cabana) off Westheimer and HWY 6.

FRI NIGHTS (10:30-whenever) they meet in Spring on I-45 North and Cypresswood at the Conn's parking lot as well (by taco bell)

They also plan cruises and other events as well. I went on my 1st cruise the last sat in may and had a blast. They are planning a forum picknic at memorial park June 20th!

Just a meet for those who are in the area to chill and look at other cars. When it rains its not that big, but usually its a good turn out. So whenever you are bored on wen or fri night, just come up to the meets and have a good time. There are mix number of cars. The usual ricers, muscle, hondas, chevy, ford, dodge, pontiac, and other cars.

                      Re: Texas 6er's!

Sounds good to me. I just got her and I've been working too much so I'm ready to stretch her legs on the road. Plus, haven't been to SA in a little while and I'd really like to see everything on everybody's cars so I have a better idea as to what I'm going to do to mine. I really don't care where, I just want to drive it

I think most of us Texans live down south.

Well, I was honestly thinking about getting something together after I finish the beginnings of my car, sometime here in the summer.
Everyone can meet in Austin, that's central, right
