EFI live showed up today pretty confident i can have the tranny tune exactly the way i want it by the end of the night..... the engine on the other hand...........i think im best off going with the pre dyno version of my tune, and deleteing the MAF and just disableing the CEL codes that would pop up for the maf missing, and seeing what i can do with getting the torque converter to not go crazy at 2k rpms in the speed density mode...... that probly gonna be my best bet till i get a wideband AFR guage with a datalogging output to hook into efi live so i can really dial in the tune and AFR using my new style MAF...........
also waking up at 4am or so tomorrow to drive to West Virginia to pick up my new GXP so excited

well, got the trans reflashed and it was just as i suspected vector DID NOT remove all tq managment like i requested, and i have found i cant to ANYTHING with the ECM because the morons at vector have it locked so no one can get into it, not even me the owner of the car, Im pissed

nothing new with black beauty lately other than ising my stock wheels/tires cuz theres so little trade left on my summer wheels and tires i can take a chane of it raining on my 89 mile drive to work every day

otdered a new K&N filter for black beauty, so i could put my crabs from her on to the red gxp, the new filter has a 6" inlet if i remember right and has a mashined aluminum velocity stack that reduces down to 3" to match my intake pipe.... i also decided to fit the stock MAF back on and the tune it had before vector "dybo tubed" it for the new MAF and its a whole hell of a lot better again, fixing that part of the tune should have been as simple as getting the stock maf calibration for a vehicle that uses that maf and a factory 3" intake pipe (camaro ss) and copying and pasting it into efi live but ive yet to even be able to get vector to respond to my trquests of the, to give me the password to unlock my ecm since theyve locked it because until then efi live is worthless for tuning black beautys ECM.....
i REALLY dont like having a fender well intake at all but right now its the onlhy option untill i get the tune calivrated for the new style maf correctly which obviously vector is incapable of doing,,,,

This is a temporary fix.. He needed to get the stock MAF back in so he could run the original tune.. the vector tune utilized a different MAF (one from a cobalt) and isn't calibrated correctly..

if you remember right, thats when we finalize the intake manifold it still needs some changes made to it which may or may not change how the CAB needs to be lol........and probably wont need one at all once i put that manifold on the red car when i convert it to RWD as id like to have a custom double row radiator fabbed, and have it shorter than the stock one by an inch or two and make an over the radiator intake ramming air from the 2 upper grilles...

ya what he said........vectors dyno tune from when they had to "calibrate" the new style cartridge MAF i was going to use SUCKS...... it dumps in so much fuel below 3500rpm that it just about stalls out and blows black smoke like a diesel....... when all they shoul have to have done is copy/paste the cells for the maf from the stock tune of a vehicle that uses that MAF in a 3" intake tube, the cobalt, camaro ss, corvette i think and a lot of other gm vehicles use this MAF...... pretty sure its the same as the 2.4 g6 as well...
and im guessing the camaro ss might have this in a 3" intake tube so itd just need the maf cels from the stock camaro ss tune copied and pasted into mine assuming that the camaro uses it in a 3" pipe... but instead they tried to do it by hand on the dyno and didnt even get close to getting it right.....
