dre256,
Those are impressive numbers, and with the PCM mod very significant.
The conversion numbers from Rear Wheel HP (RWHP), to Engine HP (EHP), for your 225.8 RWHP should yield 262.5 EHP, using your 14% loss factor.
Remember EHP loss (%) gives RWHP.
The equation, using 14% loss, is then: EHP - (EHP x .14) = RWHP
or simplifying the eguation: EHP x .86 = RWHP
As an example, use 250 EHP and 14% loss:
250 x .86 = 215 RWHP
Now, keeping the equation consistent (mathematically correct), in order to obtain EHP from RWHP, the equation becomes: EHP = RWHP / .86 ( / is divide symbol)
or as per our example we have 215 RWHP:
215 / .84 = 250 EHP
Therefore, as I stated above, your 225.8 RWHP, and 14% loss, would yield:
225.8 / .86 = 262.5 EHP.
I guess the easiest way to remember this for any loss factor is : RWHP / ((100-loss factor)/100)
or for say 17% loss factor:
RWHP / .83 = EHP for 17% loss
RWHP / .81 = EHP for 19% loss
RWHP / .79 = EHP for 21% loss
The same applies to Torque.
The percentage loss factor has been a topic of discussion for many years, with so many factors contributing to the amount of loss; regardless of the loss factor, the improved numbers in your case , due to PCM changes are what really counts.
Later,
Don
Thanks Don, I apprecate that! That helps alot in understanding it and makes alot more sense then my math did lol

I'd still love to do hptuners myself, but the cost to do it right is way too much. Happen to have any air/fuel numbers from your runs?
I do have some air/fuel numbers But it was on a failed attempt so isnt offical but min was 11.8 max was 13.7 and average was 12.4 if that helps any. If you want me to be more acurate if that doesnt help PM me and ill try to get more info by the end of the week. But it stayed constent at 12.4 only for a time lapse of a sec it spiked to the 13.7 and then droped right to 11.8 and stablized to an average of 12.4 pretty much.

As soon as I can find a good shop, I will dyno this puppy.
Yes, we will await your results you have a vector tune so you have protential of putting a little more torque to the wheels as Vectors is 10 and mine is 8.2. Even with exhaust and CAI I still might give you a run on HP to the wheels :P As your tune in 7 HP to the wheels as mine is 18.5.

i think i overlooked it in both threads...but what did you pay for this?
350. Its normally 399. Thats also include the tranny mod too if automatic too I belive. I talked to the guy Matt there and in a day or so am going to ask a mod if can open a group buy or intrest thread because he told me if I put together 5 G6s he would do the tune for them for 350 also for them. So that would possible help out us 3900s if intested in doing some mod to the car.

damn, someone is michigan better drive their ass over to vector with their GT so he can do a test and I can order my pcm
Yea mine is Tune Time in NJ, thats vector your thinking about. Unfortianlly I asked him about a 3500 tune for you guys. He said he prob can do it but needs a 3500 in NJ at his place for a few days prob to make it work. Also asked the same thing about the 3.6L, he said he could but again needs a 3.6L. Right now for the G6 can just do a 2.4L and the 3900. I dont know the gains of the 2.4L either
