I'm prolly not far from where you live and we got and 29 inches with 6'-7' drifts. I was out in the height of the storm with no problems. The first winter I had the GXP in 2008 I got Blazak WS60's in 16" steelies for all four wheels. The G6 is amazing in the snow and holds the road when most others slip and slide. Get rid of the stock LS2 tires, they SUCK.

My son COOLMANVETTE will be posting some pics of the G6 with the snow drift on top after a night of Blizzard snow. It had about a 5 foot drift on the roof.

yeah i definitely think i need to get some all season tires and lose the stock ones cause the power was there to pull me through it but the tires just did not have the traction to pull me up most hills

Nothing works as good as a dedicated snow tire for winter only use, on all four wheels. Anything is better than the LS2 POS tires that are the OEM fitment. All season tires are OK for winter driving but not as good in extreme snow and ice conditions. Blazak's are real nice.

The GXP looked like a double decker bus with 4-5 feet of snow on the top of it...EPIC SNOWSTORM...The picture, that Matt posted on FB of my driveway before we moved any of them has FOUR cars in it. They look like four bumps in the snow!!!

Its FWD and front heavy. IMO if you are having a hard time in the snow then its either your tires or your foot.

Re: No Snow For The G6

I purchased my G6 when I was still in Wisconsin and never had any issues in the snow. I've driven back several times in the winter including one time in a record breaking blizzard (Dec 2009) through the Blue Ridge mountains (NC,VA) and it handled extremely well. I always ride on all season tires but If I lived in the snow belt I would get some winter rubber for extra security.
