  • Good or bad deal on '08 GXP

As the title says, is this a good or bad deal?
It is a 2008 G6 GXP Street Edition sedan with 101K miles for $11.5K.

    Holy mileage batman.

All things considered... it seems about the right pricing for a 2008. However, i'd be weary with the mileage.

Yeah, the mileage is a big deal. That much mileage in just two years, hopefully, would be mostly highway miles. There are a lot of folks out here that commute to D.C. everyday (can be like 100 miles one way).

Yeah. Mine, fully loaded including exhaust was about 30K. Further, i'm *just* around 24k miles on it. I'd be weary of the mileage as well.

11500 for a 100K mile car! There crazy. The car was like 29K new in 08 with all options. Granted, the 08 GXPs are around 17K for like 30K miles. But 11500 for 100K is still too much, I would only offer 8500. No one on here has 100K miles on the 3.6L and 6spd auto so dont know what issues there might be. And tell you thats somthing you will want to find out. As most of us 3.9L GTP owners found out the wrong why that they like to get head gasket leaks around 25K miles or so.

I personally wouldn't waste my time with a car with that many miles, that's a ton of miles. Not saying there aren't members on here with 100k plus on their 6's but they've also had them for years and have maintained them to very high standards. No telling what others do or how they take care of their vehicles
