If you'll read into the how-to and not just window shop.. you removed the fuse block in his instructions and splice behind it. hence the reason the fuse block looks different.. its from the bottom in the pics

not attempting to be a smart ass.. just saying if you would have actually read thru the original post that would have been fairly obvious. I know we all don't have time to read, but we all have time to type a question..
I am more than happy to answer all questions regarding the modification as the OP is no longer a member. I have personally done the procedure and can verify that the 09 and 05 fuse blocks are at the least similar if not the same. If I can be of any assistance, just feel free to ask. Just be sure to read the instructions, 90% of questions are answered there.

Anyone know why GM didnt allow the foglights to be on while the highbeams or DRLs are on?
2007 Pontiac G6 Sport, 3.5 AT 37xxx, That awesome blue color 1995 Chevrolet Silverado C2500HD Turbo Diesel, White, AT, 180xxx 1989 Jeep Wrangler 2.5 5 speed, Red, 3.5 inch lift, 150xxx 1978 Chevrolet Camaro Type LT/RS 350 v8, AT, Carmine Red, 38xxx original miles
Also it doesn't make sense to have both high beams and fog lights on at the same time. They both serve opposite purposes.
for those of us with HIDs, the fix is to allow the fogs to remain lit and reduce the number of cycles the bulbs and ballasts complete and to keep from having to let the fogs "warm up" again
State laws are poorly worded. Indiana for instance prevents no more than "4 lit light units", where each headlight unit is considered one (1) unit. regardless of the bulb count in the units. Illinois is 4 forward facing lights.. so what is a light? so legality of is rather obscure and at best arbitrary.

I have been thinking of adding a set of 4" LED lights to either just behind the lower grill of just behind upper grill. driving mountain roads at night is pretty dark.
Mods- VMS ECM/TCM Tune, Custom Magnaflow Cat Back, Full CRAB Intake, Racing Line Motor Mounts and Strut Tower Brace. Tinted Windows & Tails. EBC USR Rotors Front and Rear running YellowStuff Pads

Or you can be a racecar and add an LED strip at the top of your windshield lol but that would be cool to have

Because diodes allow current to flow in only one direction. If you just put plain wire there and turned on your fogs, your highs would turn on as well.
Also I did the mod tonight, and my fogs flicker off and then back on real quick when I turn my brights on and the same when I flick them off.. Does that make sense to anyone? Lol
