Not made from plywood. Not sure what the throttle boddy / carb spacers are about.

Feel free to read this on the Group Buy thread though...

So do we need a torque wrench to do this then?

HIGHLY recommended unless you want to spend $20 on new longer bolts like I did because I didn't use a torque wrench the first time And really, anytime you are tightening bolts like this on a car, you should be using a torque wrench. It's just a good habit that I plum forgot abot this time and paid for it.

How much does one run? I don't hardly ever work on my car, so I've never needed one.

You can pick one up from Advance Auto for like $30. Heck, ask you neighbors, they are bound to have one you can borrow.

Oh heck yeah. I would have done it this past Friday, but ran out of time. So, I'm going next week instead. I'll report back.

The insulators I ordered are still not here . I'll be checking the delivery status tomorrow. As a member nation of the British Commonwealth I'm assuming those folks down under know where Canada is.

Dang man, I mailed that to you like a week and a half ago (when I mailed everybody else's). I guess I should have put some tracking on it. I did mail it standard post though, so perhaps it's just taking a bit longer. Keep me updated.

I was out of town this weekend so I didn't get to go. Perhaps this Friday.

Nate, have you noticed any difference in "ordinary" driving? I assume the engine is running well.

Jack - Actually, I have noticed a difference. I'm getting better mileage for one haha. Not sure if that is due to the HSRK from Vector or the insulator as I put them on both at the same time.

I'll tell you this, when a few of us dyno'd in Columbus a few weeks ago, I had the highest torque value of anybody and I was the only one with an insulator. I also am running lean at 14.55 A/F ratio, so I have potential for even MORE torque.

As for "ordinary" driving, I have noticed it takes longer for the engine to seem..warmed up...I guess you could said. She seems ready to pounce at every stop light and since I want to practice my launches and traction, it's hard to resist giving her the go ahead.

In short, I'm glad I did it and would do it all over again. Did it make a HUGE difference like an ECM tune, no, but I wasn't expecting it to. For $100, it's exactly or a little better than I expected and I'm not disappointed.

Did that answer your question in a round about way???? Sorry if it didn't
