solstice wheels on a G6

Hey Everybody,

The solstice rims were delivered saturday evening, and man are they Hawt!!
This picture doesnt even do them justice, they look much better in person.



They do fit, but they do every so slightly touch the struts.
I dont hear or feel any rubbing, but i'm sure they do at least a little.
I am going to look into some spacers to offset the offset.

I was prepared to sell them if they didnt fit, but they look so good that i'll make em fit.
I havent been able to get the smile off my face since i put them on
I love the looks the car gets now when im at a light

Strut rub

They do look great on the 6er, but definitely do something about that strut rub. I have seen a few GTOs get taken out due to strut rub

If you don't want to keep the 16s, you might want to talk to GraniteGrey. Last time at the meet he expressed interest in getting 16s as winters.

I guess im on track with ya'll, as thats what i am thinking of doing as well.
I'll likely just keep em for my winter set

They are the same bolt pattern, but the offset of the solstice rims are 55m when the offset of our 6ers are 42m.
The difference in offset brings the inner edge of the wheel closer to the struts.
I'll pick up some spacers to make up the difference between them which will cause the rim to not sit so far back.

The car and calipers are pretty dirty, so i figured that i would post some more pics once the car is clean and i repaint the calipers.
I am waiting on some decals to arrive, and then i'll paint the calipers.
They should be in this week, so hopefully i can get-r done on saturday.
