    Hello Everyone!

I am trying to get my 18" solstice wheels fit on my G6 the back ones fit fine its the fronts that are rubbing on the strut tower.

I am running the factory G6 size 225/50-18 I need spacers to correct the problem I have used the search some have used 5mm and some have used 8mm I bought some spacers and they were the universal one's and they did not line up properly.

Should I get the ones the are hubcentric with the lip or not? I already ordered the extended ET lug nuts.

    any help greatly appreciated!

Well universal doesnt really mean fits everything. If you bought good spacers the package might tell you what sizes they match with. Try some other places to see if they carry a different style spacer.

Guessing the solstice wheels have a different offset?

How about the TUrbo Balt SS wheels?

Re: 18" Pontiac Solstice wheels on G6 Help!!!

I know this is an old thread, but rather than starting a new one, I figured I'd throw in my experience on this.

I just scored a set of brand new take-off Solstice rims that had been in someone's garage for years. I searched on this forum and found that most people said spacers were needed, and a lot of guys seem to get the 1" spacers, but I did some math and figured that the backspacing on the Solstice wheels is 1.17" deeper than my stock 17" wheels, which meant that the front of the wheel was 0.17" (about 4mm) further in from the fender lip, so I test fit them to the car before ordering my tires, and they were extremely close to the struts, but given the tire size I was planning on, I thought I might be OK. However, I got myself some 5mm spacers just to be safe. I went with a 235/45/18 tire, which fits the rim perfectly (sidewalls are perfectly straight...no bulge, no stretch), and they ended up fitting on the car with no rubbing.

As for the look, I think I'm still going to go with spacers to bring them closer to flush, but I wanted to throw my information into the mix for anyone else looking to put these rims (or Saturn Sky rims) on their G6. Also, for the record, the Solstic/Sky rims have a 55mm offset. This information should be useful to anyone looking at aftermarket 18x8 wheels as well. I would recommend a 45-50mm offset for an 8" wide rim if possible.
