what do you think of these tires? "BFGoodrich G-Force SS"

Well im at 39k on my original tires and they have had it and winters a commin. I need 4 tires and well car sales as you can imagine haven't been too good lately. So the budget calls for some reasonably priced tires since I need all 4. I wanted the tires to last a little longer cuz Im moving to SC and wanted to get summer only tires but mine are at the were bars. It looks like im not moving till after Christmas and they wont wait till then. The 6 looks like its going to see one more winter and that means im going to have to get all season tires darn it all. I have been looking around and found a great deal on some and wanted to know it there too cheep/crappy ect. $84.00 each on tirerack they look fine to me let me know what you think. Also if you find me something else im trying to stay in the $80.00 to $100.00 tops range. Also I want to stay with a BF Goodrich, Goodyear, Bridgestone or Firestone brands since there all American made or at least American based company's. I should be able to get them balanced and mounted at work for free or a 12pk of beer to a tech. what do you guys think?

Anything is better than the stock LS2's I had.......

The only thing is though, if you look at the thread on those... and compare to say the Goodyear Eagle GT's.. (Cheaper version of F1's)

the thread is completely different. The ones you picked out has largley the same type of tread over the whole tire.. the GT's have a varies tread with different patterns making it slightly better in different conditions... you can clearly tell the outer edges are for water repelant for rain, and the straight inner for try and criss crossed for snow.

I checked with the parts dept. and they have nothing in that price range. Also the parts manager said for that price you cant go wrong. ($119.00reg on sale for $84.00) I talked with some of the techs and they all think I should jump on it as well. So it looks like im going to order them unless someone on here finds me something better that fits into my budget.

why do you have to order with tire rack?

check out Pepboys.... that is where i got mine. right now they are doing buy 3 get one free tire sale.

i paid less than 400 for all 4

Im giving them a shot now but sofar its a combersom site and it seems all they have for a G6 is "FUTURA Touring VR & DEFINITY VX700" .
I have never heard of these brands and there more money than what I have found on Tirerack.com.

Pepboys only had two tires to choose from for the G6 lol. I just checked tiresdirect.net but dident care for anything they had. It seems like tirerack.com has the best prices and selection.
