2005 G6 V6 17" or 18"?

I have the stock split spoke ugly as hell 16" rims on a silver 2005 G6 and I really want the 5 spoke 18" but I'm on a budget.
I found some 17" on craigslist http://killeen.craigslist.org/pts/1293516513.html that are black but for $200.

Question 1, Is there any difference in performance difference between 17 and 18?

Question 2, I still have not physically seen these but what do you guys think of black rims on my silver G6?

Also found a set of 17" polish for $350 but one is bent, about how much would it cost to fix a bent rim?

Why spend money and then not even have your rims as big as the highest model of your car.

thanx for the input. I'll just focus on spending money on performance parts.
