SUPERCHARGER

I was told at my local Pontiac dealer by a "young" tech that a supercharger from a Late model Grand Prix is a bolt on option for the G6.
Is his age showing or is this possible? Would be nice, but I think he's on better drugs than me...

He indicated the only thing you needed to do was install new belt and tweak the pcm....

Is the 3.5 and 3.8 the same block? Or did the late model Grand Prix come with a 3.5....Blah blah blah

3800 Supercharge is a TOTALLY diffrent engine then the 3500. Now the 3400 and the 05-06 3500 is basically the same engine with diffrent intake manifolds and a ovously slightly bigger bore.

To answer your quetion, unfortinally no it will not fit or even be close. No one curently make a supercharger for either 3500 engines or 3900.

If you "have" to have forced introduction you can put together and do a custom turbo kit for prob 3500 if you do it your self. Other then that no Supercharger for us.

There is a rumor I heard and forget waht company it is they where going to look into development of a 3900 Supercharger over this summer but havent heard anythingon that in months so think that more fiction then fact.

There's a company called Accesible Technologies Inc. (or ProCharger) as more commonly known that makes some really amazing products.

They've had a ton of success with large V8's and many imports like the 350z and G35 so I don't see why they couldn't use basically the same kit and fab something for us G6's.

I'm sure if they made a kit for us it would probably be near the $3-4k range though..

doesnt the late model grand prix have the 5.3 v8 in it anyways? at least i know the new ones do. its the same motor the my bros monte carlo has in it

I think the V8 is only in the GXP's but i'm not positive on that

just drop in the old GTP engine and you'll have as much power as the 3.9 GTP

Actually the tourque steer isnt an issue in the gxp. They used different sized tires. the front is larger than the rear and they have something with the sidewalls that help with it too. I think it is the potenzas but they don't last long. Take one on a test drive to see what I'm talking about.
