I asked Mark at O'Reilly auto parts. I have a good one here to help me and I trust the gents over there. Mark said that you can use a Micrometer to check. But it should have slight give and if it is a lot more than that, then it needs replacement. That's the best I have for you to go by. Its the same I will be going by when mine gives too.

1. Keepm the damper on...it is there for a reason LOl
2. On ebay you can buy a NRG (I think) engine damper for a civic and itll fit with a little modification, search it on the forum, youll find it

came to find out that the damper i have is worn out so i have to get a new one or dont have one at all lol

I loved it. I liked how secure I felt in it. I had it in my 75 pontiac Le Mans.
