  • Cherry Bomb Glass pack Exhaust

Friends got me into doing shit to my car so pretty new to all this, so would appreciate all the help I can get. Anyway I have a 2008 Pontiac G6 GT 3.5 L....did a shitload of searching and I really like the sound of a Cherry Bomb exhaust now unfortunately I only have a single exhaust...that's not good enough for me...I want to make it into a dual exhaust...if anyone can throw any exhaust ideas my way it'd be great. I will do more searching when I get some ideas.

I will post some pictures up of my G6. Sorry I am slow at this.

For starters you will need a dual rear valence from a gtp/gxp G6, a one inlet two outlet muffler (or you can try and squeeze two mufflers), replace your resonator with glasspack, and choose piping size for the cat back.
Custom Flowmaster Exhaust- CRAB Heat Shield- Tiger Ram- Painted Cals- Painted Grills- Eibach ProKit- Racingline S/B- Racingline G/K- Injen Air Intake- Spyder Headlights w/ DDM 5000k Lows- DDM 5000k Fogs- Plasti-Dip Solstice Wheels w/ 5mm Spacers/ Painted- Painted Intake Manifold- Hood Spacers- RotorPros Front/ Rear D/S Rotors- BMD-P Fr. Endlinks- BMD-P SS Brake Lines...

Re: Cherry Bomb Glass pack Exhaust

If you want to use the cherry bomb as a muffler without any resonator, then I'd replace the resonator with the cherry bomb glass pack, and replace the stock muffler with a Y pipe, and angle some pipes back to where you want them to come out. You could avoid getting a dual valance and simply cut into your stock valance, but I wouldn't recommend doing this if you want it to look good. You don't HAVE to purchase a tip, but it would look stupid with one stock tip and one non-stock(or no tip at all). You also don't have to re-pipe the whole thing, although I would recommend getting at least 2.5" stainless steel, if not 3" for the whole thing.

Now, if you hate the sound of constant backfires, or want it a little quieter but with the same rolling sound, then you would need to use a muffler in the back, with the cherry bomb glass pack working as a resonator.

So in review, you don't have to spend a lot of money to put a cherry bomb glass pack and dual outs on the car, but if looks, flow, and trying to get a distinct sound matter to you, prepare to spend a good deal of $$$.

I cut my valance and it still came out OK...IMO If you use 3.5" tips or bigger, they will cover the cutouts pretty good.

I like it, I might install a magnaflow resonator as well.

yea they are good, i got a cheaper quality one but it sounds great, the rasp you hear in the video is from the camera mic not being able to handle the sound.

Not gonna lie love the sound of the exhaust. Now within the next month I believe I am gettin a full body kit that ends up havin the valence like the GXP so doin a true full dual exhaust I'm guessing would not be a problem. I am doing a black/chrome look. To me it looks clean and sharp. I tossed the idea of murdering it out, but I feel like it's over done in the area I am in.

Because you would need two catalytic converters. Essentially, it's like having two exhausts running from the headers from what I understand
