  • Vibrant Exhaust, does it actually sound good??

so i was doing some research on exhausts.. came across a video of a guy with a gxp with a vibrant muffler, resonator, and tip.. it sounded great. nice and smooth, deep even bass tone, not obnoxiously loud, not too expensive.. looking for people who have the system, or know whether it actually sounds like it does in the video (youtube search "g6 vibrant exhaust")
6000k nitro blue PURE low beams and fogs, custom led strip lights under the head lights (white), and under the tail lights(red), custom pin striping, custom painted break calipers, custom painted fog light bezzles, custom door emblems, custom painted engine/airbox/battery covers, intake resonator delete, arrow head overlays (front and back)... Every mod listed was done by me and its gonna stay that way for the mods to come in the future!

Re: Vibrant Exhaust, does it actually sound good??

I am happy with my system, it's not bad sounding though I wish it were a tad louder. Now I don't know which setup you heard as I have had 2 different Vibrant setups but either way they're on my youtube account. My engine is a 3.6 DOHC which will sound completely different from the 3.5 or 3.9. If you have any other questions for part numbers or anything let me know.

Also I think my camera picks up the sounds pretty good as it sounds very close in person to the sound of the camera.

yeah i have the 3.5 motor.. and im looking for the sound that was in the video where you started, took off, and stuff.. it was winter. idk, just looking for a deep smooth tone, and the vibrant system i heard in your video sounded exactly like what i want.. any suggestions on what parts to start looking at? race mufflers vs alluminum vs resonators vs no resonators..

huh didnt know you could just use another resonator in place of the muffler.. good to know.. do you happen to know what the difference would have been to use a muffler instead of the two resonators? quieter? louder?

thanks for posting both vids for a comparison, both systems sound really good, but i think the double resonators are deffinately the way to go, at least for your set up. i may have to try both and see how i like it. thanks for the help!
