Also, I would love a true dual for my 08 G6 GT. I did not see any post on the 145 pages that said that it would not even work at all, just a post that seemed to be sure the setup would lose torque. I would love to get it cause I want to upgrade my intake manifold to a ported one from 60 degree's website, a Crabs CAI from Robert, a tune from WAMS and headers from whoever in the world makes one for my 08. Then maybe this would help me with true dual setup. If I can't do dual, then I think some high flow cats, Borla dual outlets and 4, 4 inch tips to compliment the arse end of my car. Does anyone here have a perfered borla model number ? I know that someone said that the GM Performance Parts website had borla. I will Y-pipe it unless the X-pipe is better? I figured the borla flow through resonator is a must. If I don't like the growl, you'll will get to have a resonator for a trade. If I am correct and understood right, I should get a muffler with exhaust velocity. I want gains and to get that, ill sacrifice sound. Anyway, if I want it louder, I'll take out the resonator then.

Is it just me or is gmpartsditrect unbelievably slow?? I bought the dual exhaust rear valence and it's been over a week and a half and it's still processing. I have everything in the mail I bought at the same time already except that.

Also, is there a muffler, that looks like an actual muffler, but instead it is disguise to be an empty muffler with just the exhaust piping going through to the tips to look as a muffler? I'll do this if the g6 will get the beat performance from no muffler? I want to be a sly and slick gentleman to do this in the name of performance gains!!

I have in mind a exhaust tip plan and I just need my new exhaust to do just that. When I do it and When you see it, you'll have a symmetry orgasm! I just saving up for the setup. I just know everyone will love the exhaust tip setup .

GT-R no longer makes the exhaust for our cars. for you hallowed out muffler, if you know someone who is a great welder. you can split the muffler core it out and reweld it. but you wont be sly or slick, it would be fairly loud

Magnaflow makes a really nice muffler that works well with our cars. It is single in dual out and works with the weird shapes our cars are. Im planning a new exhaust project to replace my sidepipe but i wont be done with it until late november.

hey guys i got the 3.5 g6 and im lookin to put duals on it, cat back, but im not sure what to do. im temped to chop the muffler off at the end of the cat and just add piping back to make it dual, with no exhaust. any suggestions or sound clips of this setup??!

what year 3.5? i have the 07+ LZ4 and i have a custom done side exit exhaust with a magnaflow performance tip. Stands out and sounds great. OBX makes a catback that replaces the cat with a straight pipe, has a resonator, then you can chop off the axle back portion of it and make it dual. Your cheapest bet though would be to cut off your muffler and find a single in dual out that will work under the back of these cars as there isn't much room.

Check out Borlas M3 exhaust they have up on their site. I love the atak model! No drone from it. There is a video of it when you scroll down the page.

I will check it out! Im planning on using the portion of the obx catback that goes up to the rear subframe, then using a Mazda RX-8 Axle back part of their catback to make a completely orginal exhaust for my car seeing as they should (if my measurements are correct) fit together with minor modification and the tips should fit between the dual valance perfectly. im just hoping that the valance im trying to snag thats for sale on here right now i actually get. Cause my whole project pretty much hinges on that valance working out.

I know when i was at the Indiana Meet this past June some guys were saying mine sounded like a G8 coming up the parking garage because my exhaust is so deep. I have a straight pipe from the cat and it is a side exit. If you for sure want a rear exit, you can do something like this, Magnaflow Muffler item# 14277. Its a single in/dual out and has the bends already done that would compliment the g6 exhaust system. Im 75% sure there was another guy at the same Indiana Meet that had this one and his sounded great. Now you can also do a Resonator upgrade to a Vibrant resonator and maybe a Moroso Spiral flow muffler. They are mean sounding and still give good back pressure. I like my side pipe but i want to lower my car so im going to a rear exit dual setup using those parts i listed in my last post on this thread and i will put up pictures and links as i do the project but that wont be for another couple months.
