I'm really shocked at the lack of aftermarket support as well. This is a Pontiac right? Look at the crazy aftermarket support for the SCION. People love to personalize and modify their cars… so why didn’t Pontiac become more active with the aftermarket community? I expected huge aftermarket support for the G6 and was really disappointed when I found that it didn’t exist.

Yeah the aftermarket pisses me off. I thought there would have been a lot more than there is.
      Mods I have:
18" Motegi Gunmetal Rims w/ All Season Cooper 225/45/ZR18 performance tires, 91 Octane Tune, CRAB CAB, GT-R Exhaust, completely debadged.

Mods that I plan to have soon:
Headers, tint, lowered, new transmission, and I hope to one day have a turbo in this thing.

Yea the G6 Upgrades or lack of is upsetting(Plus the service that i had over the 4 month period i owned it), That would of been my main reason for selling my 2007 G6 GT W/15,000 miles two weeks ago, Picked up a 05 Volvo S60R W/22k miles and added an ECU tune, Downpipe and a catback, Plus its AWD w/347whp. Next upgrade is a aquamist for the turbo(high temps suck).

But hey i loved my G6, just could not handle the 6spM always having issues, Who ever heard of being locked out of 6th gear(try driving from Chicago to South Dakota in 5th gear doing 70+), Leaking Windows Dr and Pass. Whistles from the AC, random Stalling after i started the car. and oh god there was more. just to bad i didnt file a lemon law claim before 12,000 miles.

                Dont be fustrated

I also own a Nissan 240sx.....back in 93~96 there was NO aftermarket performance parts unless you swap your engine with a SR20DET.

Back then Intakes, pulleys, headers even some suspension parts where DIY and some sort of mass produced via a small email groups. Now....with the drift wave coming to the US, the 240 has a wayy big list on performance parts and support....

Remember that anyone can afford a Scion, but the G6 crowd is quite selective. Its just matter of time, lets say 4 to 5 years if Pontiac do not pull the G6 plug, before seeing some common aftermarket support.

                Faith and time!!

there is no point to any performance company building these cars, we are handicapped by our weak transmission, retarded PCM design and a performance companys worst nightmare for engine platforms! come on it went from 3.5 and 3.9. next year it was a 3.5l and 3.9L vvt, then a 2.4l and a 3.6l what they hell, they keep changing engines, they should have thought it out well before they built this damn car, my car depreciated heavily after they announced they were no longer putting my 3.5l in the car. so screw pontiac and any performance company, because i can no longer get anywhere close to the actual value of my car, so im slowly making it custom. ya'll do not to complain to performance companies, complain to pontiac.

i doubt it. i was a grand am and a quad 4 devotee for years. both the car and the engine are abandoned. neither ever had much aftermarket. i doubt the g6 will either.

doesn't matter to me, though. i didn't buy it to mod...

I was going to buy a GTO before the G6, my dealership offered it to me only 1K more then my GTP new and also a 06 at the time. Biggest thing, the interor sucks on it IMO. I HATE the steering wheel. And the radio controls look horrible for an orginally 35K MSRP. The G6s interor is suprior everyway to the GTO I think.

Dont get me wrong, the GTO since I saw then come out in 05 I wanted so bad and thought it was so hot. And I still like them but the one shot I had to buy a car I rather have the creature comforts and try out a new car that no one had at the time.

For HP and speed the GTO is number one. No other car can you get for under 35K with 400 HP.
