trying to switch out my dome and the reading light bulbs to white led's but can't remeber what the bulbs are...i think the front 2 are 94's and the dome light is a 561 bulb...is there a certain milmeters i need for the dome light?....anybody able to help out..looking for the brightest available that will work for the reading and dome lights

I think the map lights are 194/168, I don't think it matters since they are LED's so either one is fine, and the dome are 561. For the dome, the LED's I put it was a little smaller in size so I just crunched the two metal plates in the dome a little bit so it will fit better...

I have just the thing you are looking for. I will post picts on this thread tommorw AM but by far the best MAP bulbs ive had are from DDM tunnig.

Its just like a file path^ get the 3W bulbs. Yea they say for reverse lights only but they work just fine and dont get anything hot so theres no problem. They are like $10 each though. yea i just picked up some reading lights...i just need to know what size the single dome is dome...was 42mm too small?...it looks like most 561 bulbs are 42 mm...should i be lookin for 43mm ones?

Ya but I don't think they drain that much battery if they are 1/3 on....and when I close the door and lock the car...it goes away...Plus I like the being a little turned on while I'm driving at night, b/c it looks like a BMW M3 and how they have the red over glow of the stick shift...Originally posted by UrW0rstNightmare View Postsigpic

I would like to upgrade, map, dome and plate lights to leds. I'm a bit confused though, are you saying the leds stay on when you shut/turn off the car, or they are partially on when you are driving?
Does each led need a resistor? I have been browsing superbrightleds.com under 12v's / Festoon Base Bulbs. Also been trying to find a dealer near me so I don't have to pay for shipping... But the site seems to have good prices.
And where could I find the correct sizes etc for each bulb so I know I'm buying the correct size etc. I just want to make sure I do everything correctly when it comes to my car!
Also been trying to follow interior led upgrades. Seems confusing! Plus I'm terrible with wiring, soldering and car electronics in general! But I want to learn! Any good links for that! Read one on here but was over my head a bit. maps are 194
dome is a 561 with rigid loops for ends
license plate is 194
reverse are 921
tails are 3157
and with my litte leds they do glow a bit but i didn't bother with resistors the glow doesn't bug me. also with the interior they do stay on when its parked but it doesn't affect anything because they are barely on left them for two weeks no problem. tails i did use resistors just from the ground wire to a bolt.
also i ordered all mine off of ebay no problems with anything only thing from an actual website is my reverse lights from v-ledsGet out the way!
to many things to list and also change my mind way to much to actually tell people lolComment

I'm having no luck finding a dealer near me that carries led's for cars etc. Shop online I guess!
