  • Calling on 3.6l mods

Hey all, this is my first time asking questions so I may sound a little lost.... Calling on 3.6l owners for some mod suggestions. Since signing up two days ago I have ordered an exhaust system from Classic Performance and a set of drop springs from Wretched Motorsports, can't wait... Anyway, thinking about the CRAB intake system, is there a big difference in that system virus just changing out the regular filter to a K&N filter.... Does anyone know if there are any tuners or performance chips on the market for the 3.6l... Thanks, look forward to your comments.

      Re: Calling on 3.6l mods

      for the 3.6L theres

PCM/TCM tunes (for your computer and transmition)
      CAI (cold air intake)
      GT-R exhaust or custom exhaust
If you go to group buys section here they just had a new 3.6L product, intake manifold spacers

Thats about the extent besides the normal things like Mobil 1 synthetic oil, gripper tires, synthetic tranny fluid, Dot 5 break fluid, break pads, cross drilled and slotted rotors, and lowering springs.

For the performance, the tune basically does the best for the car is it allows it to actually put down the power it can make but kicking torque manangement to the curve

Please do not call them a chip. Everytime someone calls a ECM/TCM a "Chip" a baby kitten dies.

For me I seemed to notice the car responded a little better, I don't know if you'd ever really FEEL a big difference from any cai, probably have to do before and after timings and I didn't. Best thing about the crabs along w/ the removed resinator is the sound, the car sounds friggin awesome with crabs in it!

You should contact Chris (GTPrix) regarding tunes. See his website GTOShiftLight.com. People on here have been very happy with the results.

Screen Name "GTPrix" Chris is his name, on here he is the vendor for PCM tunes and can go through him to get your PCM tune if you like.

Theres a computer modual under the hood the you exchange out for the new one that has the modded info on it. Generally you will need to run 91/93 octane and you will see a decent amount of power to the ground. At your flywheel you will see about 15 HP and 10lbs of torque pick up on a stock engine.

Same thing for the transmition, exchange out a box under the hood. Generally a 20 min project thats not difficult at all. The new TCM program will make the transmition shift faster and also down shift much better and more responsive then stock can be.
