          CF or fiberglass hood

          Removing AC

Removing sound deadening material in cabin

Remove the back seats, spare, carpet

          lightweight wheels

All those things could loose you one- to two-hundred pounds.

I'm pretty sure he still wants a functional and pleasing car afterwards.

                    Re: Weight Reduction

Wasn't there a GXP.R car with fill carbon fiber body? Maybe there's someone who could smuggle out parts of it! That would be so great.

Glass may be another way to remove weight... I don't beleive I've read aything about glass weight in this forum...
The stock window glass also is replaced with lighter, shatter-resistant polycarbonate pieces.

Doesn't the polycarbonate yellow after a while? I know that some of them do, but I'm not positive it's that one.

Either way though, cost per pound lost probably isn't worth it.

it has been discussed before. the gxp.r body panels probably almost all different.

                                Re: Weight Reduction

I have a CF hood, 17" lightweight wheels, straight exhaust so no muffler or resonator, no spare tire, no spoiler, and half a dash right now and trust me I haven't noticed much of a difference. I guess the only thing I've got out of it is being able to say I have one of the lightest coupes on the site. Really thinkin bout It, do I hav the lightest coupe on here??lol
