I drilled out the closed meshed holes on the nostrils. As if the grills wherent there it would look horrible in person.

You can finish drilling them out, then fabercate like sheet metel from under neith to drop the air into the CAB like the MPD but overall not worth it. If you want function go MPD hood. The GXP hood is 325-ish alot cheapper but dont let that desive you. Then its 125 each for the grills and inserts. So the GXP hood will cost around 575. Can save shipping by ordering at dealership. BUT dealership may charge alot more. A heard stories of dealerhips charging as much as 1K for hood and inserts

I disagree. The gxp street ed hood looks good on a non GXP G6.
Look at Andre's! The problem is thats all it is.....Looks.

            MPD is the full package.

Thanks! I do like the look of the GXP hood, but dollar for dollar I would get the MPD hood. I only got the GXP hood as it was like 325-ish dollars. Then the 250 dollars later was as didnt know it doesnt come with the scoops. GM is very good at not including that info that the scoops are extra All said and done, I could have had a one piece functional MPD hood all said and done with the hood scoops.

Is there anything that can be done from under the hood, I mean in the engine bay to get that cold and rush of air, other than modifying the whole hood? I love the stock hood. I love a classic sporty look and I want that rush of air to come into my engine. I'm using stage one air intake and it's great but in the summer if feel like it may be breathing in a bit too much hot hair. Opinions please.

                      Thanks
