  • Sub enclosure, what fits???

I currently have 1 12 Alpine Type R (need to update my sig., the W-7 been gone) in the same ported box my W-7 was in (pretty damn big box) and it takes up a lot of room. Wanting to upgrade to 2 12" L7's but the Kicker box they come in are too big to fit so I was thinking about 2 10's in this 10" obcon http://www.decibelgarden.com/OBCON-GZ-SERIES.html. My question is, is anyone currently using a box around this size ( the length is the only thing I'm worried about)? If so did it go right in or do you have to squeeze it in from the back seat w/ the seats down? Also, quick poll, which would you use in this box Alpine Type X or Kicker CVX? Thanks.

if you slide the box all the way back, the box cant be higher than 14 1/2 inches high. if it is, than you will hit the cross member. from what the website says, the height for you wont be a problem.

Also, that is alot of money for a box. i would build that box if i were you and make it look like you want it to. For sub choices, i havent heard any alpine subs. But i have been around alot of kicker and they are good. My 15in l7 is rediculous and from what they say the CVX is the same, just round. So if you ask me, i would go with the kicker CVX

Thanks for the input but there is NO WAY I could build that box. It is very expensive for a box only but if you ever heard an Obcon you know it is well worth the price. I had 1 for 2 8's in my first car years ago and the sound from that thing was un-fricken-believable. Think I will go w/ the kickers, thanks a lot bro.
