I was bored so i decided to pick up a toggle switch for my amp and threw it in! Results:







I like the red on the switch it lights up the little cubby hole area and adds a nice accent at night

So the switch turns your amp off and on? What's the point? (I'm not saying it's a stupid idea I'm genuinely curious) Looks really cool though

probably when they turn the key to acc on for long periods of time but they don't want the battery to drain. the stock battery will last maybe 20 minutes with an amp hooked up.

Idk tho because the other day when I was putting my dart badges on I left my stereo on nearly full blast with my 2 10" Kenwoods and 1000W Kenwood amp.... started up right afterwards and it was playing for like 35 mins

I wired up a switch like that for mine as well, mainly for when I have guests in the car (like my Grandfather) and I just don't feel like fooling with radio settings. Had it on battery this weekend playing with the amp settings, and it lasted about 20 mins until my radio started cutting on and off - Alpine PDX-1.600 amp, 12" Kicker L7, so nothing spectacular in the trunk.

i did it based on two reasons.. 75% of me was really bored and wanted to do something to my car and this was a cheap solution the other 25% was if i ever wanted to turn it off because i was in ACC mode or if someone didn't like it in my car or whatnot. Mainly boredom.

My head unit already has a sub woofer cut off feature . Looks nice though and grandpa definitely wouldn't like his ear drums blown off either.
