  • Complete Alpine Setup! [PICS!]

I'm getting my deck replaced by the Pioneer FH-P800BT unit, and my speakers are being replaced with Alpine Type-R speakers in the front and back, with an Alpine PDX-4.100 amplifier to power it up. It's getting done tomorrow.

Here's a shot of the deck:
    Amplifier:
    SPR-17s:
    SPR-69c:

I'll post some pics of everything when it's done. In the back I have two Infinity Reference subwoofers powered by the Infinity 611a amplifier. Also have a 35 farad digital hybrid capacitor by Stinger... I'll get some shots of that up too. I'm excited for the results!

Can the decks color change? That would be nice if it could be red to match the rest of the lighting.

Nice set up. I would have got navi in the unit. Thats just me though. I had pioneer in all my cars they are easy to work with.

When I read 35 Farad, I assumed it was a typo, but I looked it up and yes they do exist!
Call me old fashioned, but back in my day, even the most hardcore SPL competitors only needed one or two farad caps.

Great system though. That Alpine stuff is wonderful, and the Pioneer HU looks awesome.

Re: My setup is gonna be done tomorrow...

Sorry guys, I had some stuff come up and I was pretty busy. This includes some douche-bag pulling a hit and run on my car in a parking lot. It's off to the body shop tomorrow for repairs. It also includes my roommates proving limited on paying their portion of the rent so my landlord was unable to keep the internet bill paid, effectively cutting off our connection.... Right now I'm leeching off the neighbour's internet which proves uber slow.

To answer someone's question, no the deck colour doesn't change, which is pretty disappointing in some ways because I originally thought it did, but to be honest the blue light has kind've grown on me. You can turn the display off for when the buttons aren't in use which is a feature I really enjoy, and I think it looks pretty cool at night. I kind of want to change all of the colours of my interior to the same blue if it's possible but I don't really know yet.

This is kind of misleading because my setup isn't actually done. "Asquarecan" was kind of close when he threw out that MTX Jackhammer at 3000 watts... but not quite. I ordered two Alpine Type X (1000 watt RMS each) subs yesterday with two Alpine PDX 1.1000 amplifiers to match them... I'm going to talk to the installer I know and see if he can build me a custom box for them while my car is in the body shop getting repaired... and then shortly after I'll get the rest of it installed. That will make my car's setup completely Alpine save for the pioneer head unit! I think I might finally be forced to drop in my high output alternator after these subs are connected though, I have no idea how that kind of draw is going to affect my car.

Really sorry for not being able to post pictures for now guys...

edit; I chose against the navigation unit because I just use my iphone for navigation, and I figured the huge volume knob would look decent with the three control knobs underneath it. It does look pretty decent. I also got a 35 farad capacitor because my lights were dimming from the Monsoon/Infinity subwoofer setup... didn't fix anything, lol. But when I got HIDs of course my dimming went away. I haven't really noticed dimming since, even from my interior lights, so that's nice. I'm really curious to see how the Type X subwoofers will affect my electrical now.

Ahh I decided to man up and get the current pictures pre Type-X subwoofers uploaded anyway... they're on Facebook so I hope the links work, lol. Here it is guys:

                        Deck:

                        DIC:

Trunk - 2x12" Infinity Reference Subs & Bassworx Enclosure:

                        Alpine PDX 4.100 Amplifier:

Stinger Hybrid Digital Capacitor - 45 Farad:

                        Infinity 611a Amplifier:

Larger shot of amp, cap, and enclosure:

If anyone is curious I had most of the work done by Jayme, the lead installer at the Belleville Futureshop location.

looks good. but that capacitor seems to be a little overkill for that set up. 45 farads?
its might just be a family sedan, but girls love this car

one of my friends had 2 15's in his trunk (cobalt), and at full bass, the sound waves lifted his entire rear glass in one piece, it slid off the car, and onto the grass
